As one of the many Hibs fans on here that happily indulge in the use of offensive sectarian slurs when describing Rangers fans, I don't think you're in any position to criticise El Car's post.
Let's not forget, the term 'Hun' has been confirmed as sectarian by a Scottish court of law, it has been labelled as sectarian by the anti-sectarian group Nil By Mouth and Celtic FC even banned their own fans from using it in their stadium and on their website. Any one using this offensive sectarian term for Rangers fans can't possibly claim the moral high ground without also showing themselves as an unashamed, utter hypocrite. A quick site search flags them all up, plain as day.
I'd like to wish everyone a happy new year, but my own moral compass can only extend that to the few on here that don't indulge in sectarian abuse. So . . .

It's pretty simple. Those who say they want to eradicate sectarianism can't do it by just attacking Rangers fans. Without the Billy Boys song etc., there's still a whole other side of sectarianism that doesn't get the same publicity - but it still exists.
By only wanting the 'Rangers' issue dealt with, you can't possibly eradicate sectarianism. You're only eradicating the 'Rangers' side of it. What about the rest? What about the sectarianism you yourself participate in, hibeejim?
I keep saying it, you can't just focus on Rangers fans. You have to include every side of it. Until you do, a solution cannot possibly be found.

Just wanted to say that at times posts on this board go beyond banter but not being a Scot and not brought up on Scottish Football I tend to keep out of it.
On this day I would just want to put football aside and wish all posters on the Rangers board a very happy New Year and good health for 2016.
I don't think I can say I hope you get all you wish for

What you have to remember is that, like their Islamic fundamentalist counterparts, members of the Hibslamic State aren't actually interested in ending conflict. Local warlords trying to grab a bigger slice of the pie for themselves by creating conflict, appealing to the ignorant and easily led, and trying to blow up everything around them in the deluded hope that afterwards they'll find themselves in paradise.

i'm confused as tae why folk on here seem tae regard the expression HUN as sectarian. as far as can remember it was used tae describe the behaviour o' rangers fans [Attila the hun] and has got absolutely f#uck all tae dae wi' sectarianism. so tae use the whitabootery BUT YOUSE CA' US HUNS in defence o' yer ain bigoted chants is quite frankly bullshit

It's clearly a pejorative term only used to describe one particular section of society - one which is perceived as predominantly Protestant.
The fact there are people unable to see it as such - and try to justify its continued use - is part of the problem.
