RE: October Internationals Thread - Dingle-Dingle - 11-10-2015 "Oh Flower of Scotland" "When will we see ... your likes again" "That stood against them. Proud Edwards army"................ No disrespect here. Maybe next time. DD ![]() ![]() RE: October Internationals Thread - betterthanbaird - 11-10-2015 I can't wait for Northern Ireland to be in the same group as Portugal and Chris Baird will mark Ronaldo out the game. In all seriousness there should be a strong presence of current and former west brom players. North Ireland: McAuley, Brunt, Evans and Baird Wales: Chester, Myhill England: Berahino (hopefully) Gera for Hungary if they qualify, Lukaku for Belgium. If Republic of Ireland qualify, there'll be McLean, McShane, Long and possibly Cox. RE: October Internationals Thread - GlassEyedBomber - 11-10-2015 *Myhill retired from international football because of Hennessey RE: October Internationals Thread - Dingle-Dingle - 12-10-2015 'The biggest invasion of France since D-Day' Pulis on Euro 2016 West Brom manager Tony Pulis has joked that the success of home nations qualifying for Euro 2016 will be “the biggest invasion of France since D-Day.” England, Wales and Northern Ireland have already secured their places at the tournament in France next year, and Pulis says it’s a great achievement. “It’ll be absolutely wonderful and the biggest invasion of France since blinking D-Day,” he joked. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p034y93p DD ![]() ![]() RE: October Internationals Thread - talkSAFT - 12-10-2015 Shame Scotland won't be joining us all. : snigger: RE: October Internationals Thread - Arcane Astral Aeons - 12-10-2015 have to say sorry my boys(Republic) let us all down last night but we gave it a right go still we got the play-offs to come not sure on this but have both Northern Ireland And The Republic qualified for the same tournament at the same time not sure it has ever happened as for England tonight: the press will be lauding it if they win,a perfect 10/10 but we all know what will happen next year dont we? press will say they can go and win it and yet again it will be piss poor performances and more than likely a group stage exit(2014 world cup anyone?) at least with the Irish & Welsh no pressure on them at all they will go to France and simple enjoy it RE: October Internationals Thread - betterthanbaird - 12-10-2015 Good line from Tony that tbf. bbc website doing a most undercapped England players discussion, Laurie Cunningham and Tony Brown already mentioned by the pundits, good to see we're not the only ones who think it. Also Thievy Bifouma is on the very longlist (37 players) for the African player of the year award. RE: October Internationals Thread - Arcane Astral Aeons - 12-10-2015 easy really isn`t it? stick England in a piss easy group win game after game the press then proclaims them good enough to win Euro 2016 and what happens? they f**k it up in the group stages sound familiar? as i said previous about time FIFA/UEFA or the hell is running football these days scrap the seeding system RE: October Internationals Thread - St Charles Owl - 12-10-2015 To be fair, all the groups should have been fairly easy for all the top teams with so many countries now taking part!! Germany probably got the toughest group and scraped through, but the Netherlands for instance had a group as easy as England's and don't look like making it!! Not sure how else you would pick the groups, after that it's the luck of the draw. RE: October Internationals Thread - talkSAFT - 13-10-2015 Not being ungracious, but I've played against better Sunday sides than Lithuania last night. |
