Instead of fretting about Mason the question I ask is who would be a worse manager. Personally I would give Damian Abella a go.
I'm sure everyone knows Mason's time is up so what are waiting for. Typical WBA dithering.

Another reprieve for Mason. 0-2 down at half time. 4 Subs and run out 3-2 winners at full time.
Fingers crossed he has now finally recognised if we attack with purpose we can actually win games. If he focuses on this instead of ball retention he has a chance.
Slip back In to the defencive policy and watch the points slip away.
RM the choice is yours.

Why is most people keen on getting Mason out?   We won't be relegated and this year he is still learning..hopefully from his mistakes...
So expect more gnashing of teeth but see a improvement in the 2nd half of season..he has not what I'd call  good squad. Of players to pick from and trying combinations...

Give him a chance to prove himself and be OK for next year.

Baggiebob,
Didn't think of it that way, I was concerned about our performances this season, maybe stay up as you say and give him a chance next year against the dingles.

I am with you to an extent i.e. the team, though I do think he makes some fundamental errors, a team will never gel if you change your core every week. As for learning from his mistakes, on the salary he will undoubtably on, learning from his mistake should not be a week in week out thing. Would we say ' hopefully he will learn from his mistakes', if he were a surgeon or a plumber, or perhaps a shelf stacker, who was constantly getting it wrong, time after time, putting tins on the wrong shelf. I think with any of those examples we would be up the road. I appreciate the variables with his job, so while I would give him a bit more time, he needs to get his act to together pretty sharpish
