I totally agree, I have felt this way pretty much since Liverpool, arsenal and man ure forced the breakaway so they could profit, they split English football and created the greed league, this has become greedier and greedier with everything set up for a few to succeed. Every change made by the FA benefits the rich list with their noses in the trough.
I love the Albion, will always love the Albion but hate modern football and all it’s become. England currently playing, it’s live on itv, am I watching, you bet your bottom dollar I am not. Don’t watch the FA cup final anymore, it used to be can’t miss viewing, barely watched the last two euros or the World Cup.
Real fans, real clubs are being fleeced, people no longer watch, follow or support their local clubs.

.... this could be ME posting - 100% mirrors my views Blush Doh

Someone has totally missed the point that it's advertisers who pay the big bucks to Sky (et al) and want the return for their money, which is why the games are spread across Thursday to Monday like they are. Sure, folks paying a Sky subscrition helps Sky's business model but they are a fraction of the advertising revenues. The fans would love all the games to kick off at the same time (other than 3pm Saturday, I like to watch my team live in the stadium when I can) so they can watch their side without giving a rats @ss about another game, but the advertisers would absolutely hate it.

Sky and other broadcasters are the conduit to put football into your homes/pubs, whatever to show those advertisers. Asian betting firms pay huge sums for advertsing on TV, on shirts, on match advertising etc. most of which is meaningless to us. The advertisers own football.
