RE: 2025/26 Scottish Cup - Lord Snooty - 08-12-2025 Quote:Following confirmation just received from the Scottish FA, our Scottish Gas Scottish Cup tie against Tranent FC will now take place at Millfield Park, home of Haddington Athletic, on Wednesday 10 December (kick-off 7.45pm). What about dogs?
RE: 2025/26 Scottish Cup - ritchiebaby - 11-12-2025 Tranent eventually got their game against ICT under way, but lost narrowly by 1-2. ICT now play The Spartans - that takes me back to the 60s with a record by Sounds Incorporated - in the Fourth Round. Don't be surprised if we get a post from 0762 as he has mentioned a connection with them before. RE: 2025/26 Scottish Cup - ritchiebaby - 13-12-2025 Fourth Round TV Games Friday, 16 January 2026 (Kick-off 7:45pm) - Rangers v Annan Athletic Live on Premier Sports Saturday, 17 January 2026 (Kick-off 12:30pm) - Dunfermline Athletic v Hibernian Live on BBC Scotland Saturday, 17 January 2026 (Kick-off 8pm) - Heart of Midlothian v Falkirk Live on Premier Sports Sunday, 18 January (Kick-off 2:30pm) - Aberdeen v Raith Rovers Live on BBC One Scotland Sunday, 18 January 2026 (Kick-off 5:30pm) - Auchinleck Talbot v Celtic Live on Premier Sports RE: 2025/26 Scottish Cup - Lord Snooty - 13-12-2025 The Auchinleck game has been moved to Kilmarnock. RE: 2025/26 Scottish Cup - ritchiebaby - 18-01-2026 Fourth Round Results Kilmarnock 1 v 2 Dundee Airdrieonians 3 v 3 Arbroath (Airdrie win 4-2 on penalties) Kelty Hearts 1 v 1 Cove Rangers (Kelty win 5-3 on penalties) Camelon Juniors 1 v 3 Elgin City The Spartans 0 v 0 Inverness Caledonian Thistle (Spartans win 4-2 on penalties) Dunfermline Athletic 1 v 0 Hibernian Stenhousemuir 4 v 0 Greenock Morton Rangers 5 v 0 Annan Athletic Partick Thistle 3 v 1 Montrose Livingston 1 v 1 St Mirren (St Mirren win 4-3 on penalties) Heart of Midlothian 1 v 1 Falkirk (Falkirk win 5-4 on penalties) Dundee United 2 v 0 Ayr United Motherwell 1 v 0 Ross County Auchinleck Talbot v Celtic - playing tomorrow at 5.30pm Stranraer v Queen's Park - playing on Tuesday at 7.45pm Aberdeen v Raith Rovers - playing tomorrow at 2.30pm The obligatory Cup "shock" was provided by Dunfermline who won in added time with a fluke goal against Hibs. No sour grapes from me because The Pars were well worth their win against a strangely subdued Hibs side. Not really a shock either as Hibs always have the potential to struggle against a lower league team. RE: 2025/26 Scottish Cup - ritchiebaby - 19-01-2026 The two Fourth Round ties played today had the expected results, but not without a bit of tension and relief at getting through. Aberdeen struggled to beat Raith Rovers 1-0 and Celtic had much the same difficulties against 6th-tier Auchinleck Talbot, only scoring the decisive goal in the last 5 minutes in a 2-0 win. As well as Hibs losing to Dunfermline yesterday, ICT failed against Spartans and Motherwell made hard work of their win over Ross County. It's all part of the magic of the Cup for the smaller teams, I suppose. Fifth Round Draw - ties to be played over the weekend of Saturday 7 February Aberdeen v Motherwell Airdrie v St Mirren Celtic v Dundee Dundee United v The Spartans Dunfermline Athletic v Kelty Hearts Elgin City v Partick Thistle Rangers v Stranraer or Queen's Park Stenhousemuir v Falkirk RE: 2025/26 Scottish Cup - ritchiebaby - 21-01-2026 Stranraer beat Queens Park 6-5 on penalties after a 1-1 draw after extra time. But they're still not through as they fielded an ineligible player in that game. They did sign him before yesterday's tie, but not before the original date on Saturday, which is the rule. The SFA will hold a disciplinary hearing on 28th January to decide the outcome. RE: 2025/26 Scottish Cup - ritchiebaby - 21-01-2026 The Fifth Round Ties on TV are - Friday, 6 February 2026 (Kick-off 7:45pm) – Airdrieonians v. St. Mirren | Live on BBC Scotland Saturday, 7 February 2026 (Kick-off 5:30pm) – Celtic v. Dundee | Live on Premier Sports Saturday, 7 February 2026 (Kick-off 7.30pm) – Aberdeen v. Motherwell | Live on Premier Sports Sunday, 8 February 2026 (Kick-off 2:00pm) – Rangers v. Stranraer (or maybe Queens Park) | Live on Premier Sports Sunday, 8 February 2026 (Kick-off 7:30pm) – Stenhousemuir v. Falkirk | Live on BBC Scotland RE: 2025/26 Scottish Cup - ritchiebaby - 29-01-2026 Stranraer have been expelled from the Cup for fielding an ineligible player, so Queens Park are through to play Rangers at Ibrox on 8th February. A feeling of deja vu here as the Spiders beat the "mighty" Gers 1-0 in last season's Cup at the same venue. RE: 2025/26 Scottish Cup - ritchiebaby - 09-02-2026 Fifth Round Results Airdrieonians 1 St Mirren 2 after extra time Dunfermline Athletic 2 Kelty Hearts 0 Elgin City 2 Partick Thistle 3 Celtic 2 Dundee 1 after extra time Rangers 8 Queens Park 0 Stenhousemuir 0 Falkirk 2 after extra time The postponed East Coast games were Dundee United v Spartans, being played on Tuesday, and Aberdeen v Motherwell to be played on Wednesday. The draw for the Quarter-finals was made tonight and is St Mirren v Partick Thistle Falkirk v Dundee United or Spartans Rangers v Celtic Dunfermline v Aberdeen or Motherwell |
