Well noticed, Snooty. Smartass I was looking at the i-Player Curling schedules and you were obviously looking at the Beeb Sports website. Thumb up

Anyway, Canada absolutely thumped China 11-2 after 8 ends, so they have something to show for their efforts. They scored 5 shots in the 4th end and 2 shots in the 5th end and that was that.

After an intriguing tactical game with some great stones from both teams, Scotland left with theĀ Gold Medal, beating Switzerland by 5-4 with a last stone draw from Bruce Mouat. Once again the Scots were beaten in the percentage stakes in every position, but a combination of experience and confidence in playing the big shots made all the difference. It's well past my bedtime, but I'll be back later with some more comments and a photo or two.

Well done, lads. And a point for me in theo's predictions I do believe. Smile

You believed, Snooty, I didn't. I've never been so glad to be wrong twice in two days with my predictions - Scotland and Hibs. Anyway, my job here is not to let you get big-headed. Tongue

Here's a photo I've "stolen" (I prefer to call it "spreading the word") from the World Curling website, complete with credits.

Bruce Mouat, Grant Hardie, Bobby Lammie, Hammy McMillan and Kyle Waddell
