RE: Orient v Town - theo_luddite - 27-11-2024 Sounds like "the boys done gud" in an arse-about-face kind of way. With only looking at Tranfermarkt I didn't realise there was a pretty much full schedule and not just the 3 catch-up games. Still, at least we won the coconuts rather than looking like a bunch of them. Here's another advert you wouldnt get away with nowadays I meant to throw in a mention regarding one famous O's fan, comedian Bob Mills. Anyone who listens to Fighting Talk on Saturday mornings will be familiar with his references to Orient in just about every answer he gives. Not suitable for work by the way. RE: Orient v Town - Lord Snooty - 27-11-2024 Happy with the result, but it should've been much, much more. We played really well at times, looked sharp, got the ball forward early. But the finishing is atrocious. To miss a penalty, when we hardly ever get them is shocking and I think Josh has to step down now after missing the last two. Wiles did brilliantly to win the ball on the halfway line and run on for a one on one with the keeper. Only to drill the ball wide. ![]() Ah well. Points in the bag. ![]() Where's Kieran Phillips? Shouldn't he be in the squad by now? Bojan and Freddie have shown time and time again that they're hopeless. Ward is off sick again. Healy is injured. Koroma is way off form. And Marshall looks like he's being given a rest by both Town and Northern Ireland. So where is Kieran? RE: Orient v Town - theo_luddite - 27-11-2024 Duff Duff and Marshall post match on Radio Local https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0k74vjb https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0k751zj Highlights - Our version Their version RE: Orient v Town - Lord Snooty - 27-11-2024 Apparently we can't play Phillips until January. ![]() RE: Orient v Town - theo_luddite - 28-11-2024 Possibly it's so it lines up with players over here being returned early from loans (injury, wrong attitude or just useless) and also stops players being played 12 months of the year between 'winter season' leagues and 'summer season' leagues. |
