So it must have been west ham we beat in the quarter final to go to villa park and tears ! ...my memory is shit to bits I think I'll probably be in nappies and next to the sunny window like pieowl in another 15 years should I get there ? Didn't Steve foster join us for a brief while or again I'm.ilusnating ? RE: The Owls v Burnley SBC Match Thread - Owlkev71 - 18-10-2024 Checked about Foster, never played for us. RE: The Owls v Burnley SBC Match Thread - St Charles Owl - 18-10-2024 I don’t remember him joining us, so I think you are hallucinating with that one!! Correct, we beat West Ham 2-1 in the Quarters and then lost to Everton at Villa. RE: The Owls v Burnley SBC Match Thread - Statesideowl - 18-10-2024 Somewhat a stalemate between Pigs and L**ds. Pigs seem to like getting around the back with a longball. It's remarkable that Gnonto is never booked for his repeated simulation. We're going to be in a lot of trouble on derby day. Our back line is renowned for being calamitous and the Pigs look decent to be fair to them. RE: The Owls v Burnley SBC Match Thread - St Charles Owl - 18-10-2024 The Blunts are better than us for sure but they look vulnerable at the back. How many shots did L**ds put over the bar? To beat them we will need to be clinical in front of goal. And I was there and had my scarf stolen by an innocent scouser who just pulled it from behind and ran ![]() ![]() PS Everpool are all the same ![]() RE: The Owls v Burnley SBC Match Thread - Imre varadi - 19-10-2024 It wasn't a good day Maddix ..I scuffed my brand new adidas samba and the never recovered ( sigh). RE: The Owls v Burnley SBC Match Thread - St Charles Owl - 19-10-2024 I was on a packed Holte End for that semi. Went with my Dad and brother, during the second half I had to separate my dad from another Wednesday fan who was angling for a fight as they both wanted to stand behind the barrier!! They traded punches and while my Dad was a bit of a hot head he wasn’t going to win this one against a guy 20 years younger than him and much bigger, so I jumped in between them and ushered my Dad away!! He came out of it with a nasty cut under his eye that took some explaining to my Mum when we got home.
