I'd have preferred not to vote for either team - though a draw would suit me.

Good write up Amelia.

I think we just have to do what we can to stay up and hope that there's a bit of a war chest to improve and replace some of the aging players/ deadwood

RE: Huddersfield Town v West Brom - Lord Snooty - 10-03-2024

Good first half. Bit slow to start but got more urgency as it went on and deserved the lead.

If town want to progress we need to move on from Hogg, Pearson, lees and ward. All aren't good enough for this division and no where near good enough if we are to be wanting promotion as kev says, basically over the hill. How many would end up at a championship club if they left us? None. Pearson and ward would probably wind up in league one somewhere, Hogg would retire to take up fishing and lees probably league one if he wanted to continue. If we go down I'd potentially keep Pearson and that's probably it. Lees in the second half was running through treacle, ward is injury prone and not effective enough.

I'd argue for getting rid of koroma too, one trick pony and seems to be slower than he used to be, a decent defender makes him ineffective, a quicker defender makes him ineffective, I'd keep him if we went down but if we stay up I'd be looking for and wanting better.

Diarra and Nakayama can also go for me, regardless of division, headley I'd loan out in the hope for a Spencer effect.

We have to really get into rudoni's head and find his proper position, I don't get why to some he's the golden boy, he really isn't. He's not quick enough or skillful enough to be a winger, he's not creative enough or clinical enough to be an attacking midfielder, neigh on everything he touches around the 18yard box turns to shit.

I think kasumu has a future, we just need to get a composed head in midfield alongside him, to replace Hogg I'd still want tenacity, but I'd sacrifice a bit of it, in return for a someone more comfortable on the ball.

Manager wise, I still think Andre has something he just needs to keep us up by any means possible and then get backed to improve the squad substantially.

Well that wasn't how I expected the second half to go. Just shows what a genius that Carlos is. A couple of tweaks and the Baggies are a different set up altogether.

First goal was miles offside and I don't care if tv replays say otherwise. We were dead level with it and he was way off. Second goal was just rank bad defending. Can't do owt about that third one and as for the fourth, I'd switched off by then, can't remember it.

Andre was far too slow making changes. He also got the starting line up wrong. Matos should start every game. And so should Ward until we get somebody better. Thomas is by far and away our best player, but Andre was just asking him to do toomuch in the first half, which he did really well. He was shattered in the second half. Can't do it all on his own.

Despite losing 1-4, this was a much better performance than down at Cardiff. Unlike the Baggies, we don't have such a talented squad. We have a good first XI, if the Head Coach would pick them. Why is Balker on the bench?
