RE: Festive Football Feast - Lord Snooty - 26-12-2023 Well that was a pleasant surprise. Hopefully a sign of things to come. Or as somebody on Twitter has pointed out that two wins over Christmas saved Fozzy's job last year and it all went downhill quickly in the New Year. Whatever, Smoke-on-Stench are two-nil up at Wayne's World now. Good or bad? It means we can catch both of them on Friday night as well as Miwwaww. and we are now five clear of them 'Oops. RE: Festive Football Feast - theo_luddite - 26-12-2023 You probably couldn't have picked a more entertaining game to miss if you tried Snoots. Excellent effort from front to back. Even our 3rd choice keeper barely had to break sweat. Blackburn looked like Town at our worst, but we made them look that way too. Forcing them into mistakes and some calm shooting for a change. Never doubted Moore for a minute. ![]() Never doubted Frothy was prat from the start. Kept claiming we would beat those around us in January. We didn't, he went. Haven't heard Moore make these claims but this performance has been a long time coming. We need a lot more like that to be convinced. RE: Festive Football Feast - Lord Snooty - 26-12-2023 Yes indeed. Good one to miss. We missed that Boxing Day classic at home to Blackpool a couple of years ago as well. ![]() I don't mind losing, as long as I've been entertained along the way and they put some effort in. Today, I couldn't envisage that, never mind actually winning. Hoping to be there on Friday night. We're off to see a Panto on Saturday afternoon, so could get some BOOOOOOOOOOOOOing practice in. ![]() RE: Festive Football Feast - theo_luddite - 26-12-2023 Oh no you won't. RE: Festive Football Feast - Lord Snooty - 26-12-2023 Biggest win over Blackburn since 1934/35 when we beat them 6-0 and Alf Lythgoe scored five of them. RE: Festive Football Feast - theo_luddite - 26-12-2023 You're going to tell us you decided to give that one a miss too aren't you? ![]() RE: Festive Football Feast - Lord Snooty - 26-12-2023 Nay lad. I were theeere! ![]() RE: Festive Football Feast - theo_luddite - 26-12-2023 The other difference between Moore and Frothy is that Moore for all that he's not getting enough good performance's out of a squad that have shown they are capable of them, he's not a bullshitter. Frothy was anywhere you'd like to pick between 90-100% bullshit. How we picked him other than we had this German coach obsessed recruitment policy beggars belief. I've worked for companies that gave 5* reviews and references to folk they no longer wanted on their books. I can understand a German club bulling him up to do the same but in football these days, there's so much more data around to say, hold on a minute. Yes it's mostly on players but aggregate that on a coach. Remind me again which Prima Donna League club he's working for. RE: Festive Football Feast - theo_luddite - 27-12-2023 Rotherham hauled themselves off the foot of The Yorksha League with their first win, which left Boro still searching for their first win and bottom of the League. The 2nd half of the season starts on Friday with Boro at ours, so let's hope their dismal run continues, followed by Wendies at home to Hull on New Years Day. Hull top the League but have played 4 of their 5 at home. ![]() RE: Festive Football Feast - Lord Snooty - 03-01-2024 Anagram results, jjamez. I couldn't get those last two. |
