RE: Terriers v Hornets - Lord Snooty - 04-11-2023

Only 5 outfield subs. This is either a message from Moore to Nagle about the size of the squad, otherwise why not stick more juniors on the bench.

Or it's the likes of Ward, Koroma, Burgzorg, maybe others saying, I would've been fit for Warnock, but not this jerk!

I'm sat in the Gas Works car park contemplating whether to go home. Looking around, loads of others seem to be thinking the same. Nobody's moving. Confused Whistle Rolleyes Tongue Laugh

It's embarrassing

I was joking about picking some boots up at Sports Direct. Chuff me if we can't even fill the bench with the 2nd team ... Angry Angry Angry

This comes down to a director of football not being able to sign players or seal the deal. We get this, no one was better than what we have, seriously have you seen what we have?

You cannot tell me that there aren't free agents out there that aren't better than what we have, all this about them not being match fit is nonsense, some have been on trial with other clubs, even if they can only do 60 mins it's still something to work with.

Luke Freeman, Lyle Taylor even Connor Wickham are better than what we have in this squad. At no point should we ever been in this position of not having a squad. It's embarrassing and shows a lot of incompetence

That we're in with a sniff at halftime says more about how poor Watford are.

RE: Terriers v Hornets - Lord Snooty - 04-11-2023

Not a bad first half, considering.

RE: Terriers v Hornets - theo_luddite - 04-11-2023

Two poor teams out there today, I'd call it half a sparkler. The weather is a damp squib though. My toes are growing webs between them.

Fraizer Campbell is better than some we have right now.

The best thing you can say about today is we got a point, Rotherham and QPR played out a draw and the Wendies lost again means we are in a slightly better position than we were at 3pm due to those having one game less to catch us.

That’s enough of the positives.

The game itself was dire and just for a change the officials were the best thing on the pitch today which tells a story in itself.
Two very poor teams that could’ve played until the new year and not scored and had we not been whacked by Leeds and Cardiff in the two previous games that performance would have been met by a chorus of boos. It may well have been but when the clock struck 89 minutes we got up and left.

Like others I can’t figure out why you wouldn’t just fill the bench with the kids, I mean if nothing else it’s a different matchday experience for them even if you don’t use them…just puddled by that decision .

Y the way I got told today that Hogg got Man of the match at home home to Cardiff the other week and when he was told he’d won it and to got into the White Rose club to get the award he was so embarrassed to win it he refused to go up and told them to f*ck off. I may have a go at him for his footballing skills but good on him for showing he cares

For his first game at this level I thought the ref had a good game, given the standard we typically see. He did get roundly booed at the end for ending the game before Town could take a corner.
