RE: Birmingham City away - theo_luddite - 03-10-2023 Poppadom wrists RE: Birmingham City away - Lord Snooty - 03-10-2023 This is like he's told them to forget everything that Warnock told you. I'm in charge now. And it's crap. Why has he taken Burgzorg off? Thomas playing way out of position. No help therefore for Jackson who's getting slayed by Dembele. The three subs are like for like. Nothing has changed. This is worrying. Embarrassing. Bring back Colin. RE: Birmingham City away - Amelia Chaffinch - 03-10-2023 Neil and Ronnie , keep your diaries clear for February. ![]() RE: Birmingham City away - Lord Snooty - 03-10-2023 That, I'm afraid, was like having Fotheringham back. No passion. No ideas. No direction. No points. Couldn't even consolidate a consolation. RE: Birmingham City away - Amelia Chaffinch - 03-10-2023 Hello relegation zone, my old friend, we'll be back soon. RE: Birmingham City away - theo_luddite - 03-10-2023 We'll be back to see you again Fixed it for you AmChaff That said, it was like playing in a morgue. I know they are still replacing the aero bars they built half the ground with (or the Cadbury's equivalent) but hell, 2 & 3 nil up and they had half a dozen fans trying to sing and taunt the Town fans. Our place would have been rocking. We were having none of it, and not singing much either. RE: Birmingham City away - WakeyTerrier - 04-10-2023 It was very poor last night. Now bare with me, other than a spirited display against Leicester, a good win at WBA which could’ve gone either way in the dying minutes, a win although not a great performance against a poor Rotherham team and a point against Ipswich which was by far our best game but probably the correct result we have looked like relegation fodder…with and without Warnock. It doesn’t help when you play so many defenders as per last night and have no out ball. It doesn’t help when you play players out of position. It doesn’t help when your goalkeeper lets in a soft opening goal. I could t work out the plan, tactics or formation last night and judging by we were at 6’s and 7’s for most of the night then neither could the team. I felt DM had conceded the game by half time and his subs were just to have look at certain players and how they coped with whatever formation we were playing at the time. We know we need forward but that has to wait until January, in the mean time go back to basics and play players in positions they are best in. RE: Birmingham City away - Lord Snooty - 04-10-2023 Unless he was injured, the most baffling decision for me was taking Burgzorg off at half time. Two wingers playing up top, but leave Harratt and Hudlin sat on the bench. ![]() RE: Birmingham City away - theo_luddite - 04-10-2023 Well, as many others have said, instead of building on Saturday's performance he picked players and put them anywhere but where they "normally" play. How he came up with this formation, who knows? 10 playing cards with players names on them, give them a riffle shuffle or two, lay them face down on a snooker table, then turn them over one-by-one to reveal who plays where? Or just throw them up in the air and see where they land? Brum had picked up 2 points from 5 games in September, two draws at home v Millwall and QPR, we won 2 and drew 3 yet we managed to make them look like promotion candidates. Someone (maybe on Twatter) needs to have a word. RE: Birmingham City away - Lord Snooty - 04-10-2023 Re-write required, theo? Wednesday have just sacked their manager. ![]() |
