Baggieman, you weren't by any chance born at the Sorrento Maternity Hospital in Moseley were you?

That's where I first saw the light of day!

BBB, i actually lived at 63 Wake Green Road until i was 11, went to St Mary's Junior School before moving to Hall Green.

Silver....  I do remember Sorrento Maternity on Wake Green Road, just before the village and next to Toch-H, but i believe I was born in a nursing home in Showell Green Lane, Moseley. Long time ago now and can't remember much about it !

Big Grin

RE: WELL DONE WALSALL. - Stairs - 29-01-2015

My dear chap. I was born in Oxfordshire in a small rural village.

One young lad I befriended at school had a father who supported Coventry. He took his son and myself out for a jolly day out at the footer - FA Cup.

Coventry were playing this team called West Bromwich Albion and I was dazzled by the colourful Rosette and the pretty bird on the badge and took a shine to them.

Plus their fans were a friendly sort and one of them lifted me up to see the pitch when the crowd got a little boisterous.

The rest is history.

We were at 54 WGRoad, yards away, and I supplied the Maternity home with babies to look after - joking! You must have been by the Car sales/showroom then. I do remember a great little club on the way to the Ring???
