RE: Birmingham & Blackburn vs WBA - Match Thread - Minizin - 10-02-2023 We’re missing Swift in the middle, but goodness me David Button. If you’d said in the summer that the reason we won’t get promoted is an injury for Alex Palmer… RE: Birmingham & Blackburn vs WBA - Match Thread - derbybaggie - 11-02-2023 Not good. Back foot as soon as first goal went in. Button at fault for both. Think his confidence is shot. Maybe worth giving Griffith a shot. RE: Birmingham & Blackburn vs WBA - Match Thread - 4evaabaggie - 11-02-2023 May be worth given me a go, I'm nearly 57 but I can't do any worse than but(ter fingers) ton RE: Birmingham & Blackburn vs WBA - Match Thread - Zinman - 11-02-2023 I'm classed as a free agent and I used to play in goal. If they buy me a ticket back I could play against Blackburn. I may be in my 60s but I doubt I could be worse than Button. RE: Birmingham & Blackburn vs WBA - Match Thread - drewks - 11-02-2023 Oh dear. Ain't that vintage Albion though? RE: Birmingham & Blackburn vs WBA - Match Thread - Salopbaggie - 11-02-2023 Yes Button was awful and directly responsible for both goals, but how many times did our defenders and midfield get their pockets picked to lose the ball? Sloppy passing as well, all in all a horror show, the scariest bit though, the memory of when Val ball got sussed by the opposition and they would not let us play. RE: Birmingham & Blackburn vs WBA - Match Thread - 4evaabaggie - 11-02-2023 I think that is the end of our promotion push. That may seem harsh, it's only one game, right. But It's not this result that makes me say that, it's the fact that Alex (Palmer) is out for another six weeks, I can not see Button performing anywhere near well enough to keep us in the chase. RE: Birmingham & Blackburn vs WBA - Match Thread - Dingle-Dingle - 11-02-2023 65% possession. 1 shot on goal. Button MOM. Turned a 0-0 into a 2-0 result. DD#No1 ![]() ![]() RE: Birmingham & Blackburn vs WBA - Match Thread - Baggiebob(BBB) - 11-02-2023 TOO RUDDY COMPLACENT ![]() AS FOR THE GUYS WHO CAN DO BETTER THAN BUTTON, I JUST LOVE TO SEE BIG TUMMIES FLYING THRU THE AIR - I'D PAY TO SEE THAT. ![]() WE COULD BE 11TH BY TOMORROW NIGHT ![]() RE: Birmingham & Blackburn vs WBA - Match Thread - valpayne - 11-02-2023 when I first read about the injury to Palmer I was quietly worried then the leeds manager saga took place of that fear only for me to re focus on button being in goal and already we've suffered 2 losses out of 3 and shipped 5 goals if you add in the chesterfield games 4 games with button in goal 1 win 1 draw 2 lost 8 goals shipped its not good stats and I fear this could see a downturn in results especially with blackburn watford and middlesborough up next 6 pointers i fear could be game set and match against us pray I'm wrong but CC needs to be strong now and drop button again for someone anyone who might or might not stop this trend |
