RE: Gone - Salopbaggie - 03-10-2022 It does make you wonder if we should not look to an unknown who is still hungry. I mean Gunner could not do it with the might of United behind him, Zindane same with Real Madrid, Benitez with Liverpool etc, etc. If they can't do it with players like, Rashford, Fernandes, Kroos, Hazard, Kuyt and Gerrard at their disposal, what chance do they have with players and I mean them no disrespect such as Livermore and Reach. I know the game is different at our level, but that can make the situation worse rather than better. But to be honest I think Mickey Mouse would be an improvement at present. RE: Gone - Dingle-Dingle - 03-10-2022 Are the Cowley bros available.? DD#No1 ![]() ![]() RE: Gone - Stairs - 03-10-2022 Obviously most on that list would not even spend a second thinking about managing us. But I’d agree that many of the names that might could be just another gig on the management gravy train. I’d prefer to see an up and coming manager from Division One or Europe given a go. But the board are not only slow to make decisions they are also very risk adverse l, hence dinosaurs such as Pilots, Big Sam and Bruce being given shots. So called safe pair of hands RE: Gone - Ska'dForLife-WBA - 03-10-2022 (03-10-2022, 17:05)Stairs Wrote: But the board are not only slow to make decisions they are also very risk adverse l, hence dinosaurs such as Pilots, Big Sam and Bruce being given shots. So called safe pair of hands Would that be Pontius Pilots? Because I think he washed his hands of us. RE: Gone - Minizin - 03-10-2022 I’d go for Wilder, but he ay coming after being vetoed by our dear owner. I can’t see us going for anyone more interesting than Dyche or Parker, on the basis our scouting for managers will go no further than the scouting for players! I can’t see Dyche coming to the Hawthorns, he’ll be keeping a close eye on developments at Southampton and Leicester. Watch out, it’ll be Mark Hughes ![]() RE: Gone - drewks - 03-10-2022 (03-10-2022, 21:07)BaggieSteve Wrote:(03-10-2022, 19:35)Minizin Wrote: I’d go for Wilder, but he ay coming after being vetoed by our dear owner. Although Cheltenham didn't want to lose him, perhaps an up and coming manager like Michael Duff who seems to be doing a good job at Barnsley. He spent some time at Burnley as number two to Dyke and seems to be a very good motivator. |
