RE: WBA - End of Season Thread - drewks - 30-04-2022 That's it, isn't it? Thank God (sorry BV) for that. A hugely disappointing season is finally over. I look forward to seeing what Steve Bruce will do between now and August.... but am not holding my breath. I really hope I'm wrong and he will surpass expectations, but I am expecting more dross and him to be gone by the New Year. .... and I am, by nature, an optimist! Honestly!! Pretty much bang on assessment. We were slightly less mediocre than Reading. Molumby was fortunate not to see red for that ridiculous late challenge. Can't believe we have signed him up long term. What a joke. RE: WBA - End of Season Thread - baggietrousers - 01-05-2022 Disappointed would be a massive understatement. A season that promised so much and delivered so little. I have to say that I'm very much in the 'future looks bleak' category with Bruce remaining in charge. Its already been said, but signing Molumby, playing Reach, playing Button and not Palmer, dispensing with Carroll, leaving TGH out again!! I know a number of Newcastle fans who told me when he was appointed that it was a huge mistake, but I was prepared to judge him on what he could do for us. Sadly he's been a disaster and those same Newcastle fans are laughing at our expense, even more so now he is remaining. He won't last the season, Drewks is spot on, he'll be gone by the new year, or in true Albion fashion, he'll be sacked just as the january transfer window closes.
