RE: Paul Jewell in TP's backroom staff - Beefy 1965 - 14-01-2015 West Brom have now confirmed that former England captain Gerry Francis has agreed terms to resume his partnership with Pulis, having previously worked together at Crystal Palace and Stoke City. Speaking about Francis' appointment, Pulis said: “Gerry and I have worked well together at both Stoke and Crystal Palace and it was always part of my plan for him to join me at Albion.” RE: Paul Jewell in TP's backroom staff - Stathemwasthebestever - 14-01-2015 Beyond strange. There again, I've walked into coffee rooms on the 1st day of a job and thought what the f**k am I doing here. However, thought these people knew each other? Maybe, PJ was uncomfortable playing a 4411 with our best striker playing as the backward 1 and Chris Brunt being cast as a winger..........only jokin'..........early days in the TP regime. Presumably they fell out about titles, reporting arrangements, first dibs on the biscuits, allocation of hair gel etc etc. Would be good if the club would clarify the situation. Suspect they won't. RE: Paul Jewell in TP's backroom staff - Foxman_WBA - 14-01-2015 It’s all a bit odd isn’t it! I doubt we’ll ever find out why but my guess is that it’s not the role he thought he was getting, I assume he though the role was very much the assistant manager job but it undoubtedly isn’t. RE: Paul Jewell in TP's backroom staff - Dingle-Dingle - 14-01-2015 According to BBC Text service It`s not by "Mutual consent" and is now in the hands of PJ`s lawyers. DD Even more strange, looks like we booted him then? Obviously not the type of character we want at the club. RE: Paul Jewell in TP's backroom staff - Ska'dForLife-WBA - 14-01-2015 Well, that escalated quickly... RE: Paul Jewell in TP's backroom staff - Stathemwasthebestever - 14-01-2015 Apparently he was asked to take a substantial pay cut (on the wages he only agreed a few days before) so we could pay Gerry Francis. Me feels he may well be right to be somewhat pissed off. Wish we could avoid making ourselves look like such bunglers quite so often. RE: Paul Jewell in TP's backroom staff - meandbrenarebaggies - 14-01-2015 You leave bunglers alone! Somebody has to do the job. RE: Paul Jewell in TP's backroom staff - aries22 - 14-01-2015 Stathamwasthebestever Presumably they fell out about... first dibs on the biscuits -------------------------------------------------------------------- Ha ha! That made me laugh out loud! RE: Paul Jewell in TP's backroom staff - Beefy 1965 - 22-01-2015 bill howell @billhowell68 1 hr1 hour ago New coach appointed.
