RE: Town v Barnsley - Lord Snooty - 22-04-2022 Never got out of third gear. Strolled around taking it easy like we'd already qualified for the play offs. Barnsley were piss poor. I can see why not many made the long trek, probably more in protest than anything else. I reckon it's the lowest away following of the season. Glad Rhodes scored, a real poachers goal which we know he is. Feel a few of the players need to realise thats what he is and put him in more instead of being greedy and taking it on themselves. I saw it when pitch side in the pre season game at Fleetwood and it's still clear to see when you watch him in games live, he makes real good runs off the ball, always seems to be in and around a pocket of space. He's work rate and hold up game has improved too, my dad thinks he's a proper work horse now. Oh for him and ward up top in the playoffs... RE: Town v Barnsley - Amelia Chaffinch - 23-04-2022 We nowvlive in Barnsley and I was talking to the 3 lads working on the garden next door last week. All were resigned to it. One of them even said that they were happy to go down so they could rebuild. I did say I'd be careful what they wish for because that could backfire and league 1 does seem to be a particularly hard league to get out of. On the other hand, I can see what they mean because it's demoralising when you're losing every week. I was also messaging my old school friend who is an ardent Barnsley fan. Same from her ... been expecting it for months. We've been there too. It's crap. ![]() RE: Town v Barnsley - Lord Snooty - 23-04-2022 Ninety Town goals now for young Jordan. That takes him above the Wembley Wizard, Alex Jackson and into joint sixth with Vic Metcalfe on our all time goal scorers chart. He's a long way to go to catch Les Massie in fifth. He has 108. RE: Town v Barnsley - Lord Snooty - 23-04-2022 Sky whining about all of Luton's injuries. We had Pearson, Vallejo, Koroma, Aarons, Thomas, Ward, Colwill and Schofield all unavailable through injury last night and we added Sinani to that list at half time. RE: Town v Barnsley - theo_luddite - 23-04-2022 You'd think Eric Morecambe was in charge at Sky Nice to know our inconsistency shone through in the 2nd half of the season. Who knows where we'd have finished if we'd been as consistent as those around us ![]() https://www.theguardian.com/football/football-league-blog/2021/dec/24/championship-at-halfway-blackburn-nottingham-forest-fulham ![]() ![]() Millwall might make him eat his jumper as well as his hat yet.
