Cook was a 4-4-2 man. He never had a plan B. Our team was built around 3-5-2 so would he change the style mid season or adapt?
Personally I don't want him back but what do I know and who cares?
Why upset the apple cart though?

No he wasn't Dancing. He played 4-2-3-1. When we played 4-4-2 we created little chances and opportunities.

I would love to see Paul Cook come back but two things concern me and they are. Can we afford him? And the second is. Could it upset the harmony of the squad?. Danny Webb has got 6 pts out of 6 and the players seemed to play with freedom on Saturday. I don't think there is any rush to appoint a manager just yet.

Yes you are right Matt, don't know what made me put 4-4-2, must be an old age thing. Either way I don't think we have the squad to play that way.

I have no doubts about Cookie's managerial ability, but his success comes when he has built his own squad and has them playing how he wants ......... So that would rule us out from promotion this season wouldn't it? And we'd be selling and buying a different shaped team quite quickly.

This said, whoever is manager, I'd go into the transfer market now, because Croll is injured, and if we wait till summer the player I want will be snapped up by the EFL or Wrexham. SIGN TAVARES FROM WEALDSTONE NOW, OR EVEN SOONER.

New manager of AFC Fylde on a 3 year deal.

Will he be after players to leave Chesterfield and join Fylde?

RE: James Rowe - Devongone - 08-03-2022

Good move by Fylde unless he's going to prison sometime soon.

We don't seem to have any spare players do we? At the end of the season assuming we don't go up Cookie and he should be able to agree a few movers.
