RE: Cardiff v Town match thread - Lord Snooty - 06-11-2021 No doubt making them both long term injuries now. ![]() Oh for feck sake. ![]() Shocking. Thought those days had gone. ![]() RE: Cardiff v Town match thread - theo_luddite - 06-11-2021 Blew it again Colwill has been beaten to the ball for the last 3 goals against, all headers RE: Cardiff v Town match thread - Lord Snooty - 06-11-2021 I just can't put into words how sickening that defeat is. RE: Cardiff v Town match thread - jjamez - 06-11-2021 Don't take your chances, you deserve to lose, and we did. All well and good these shooting drills that the club shows them doing on YouTube, but we never put players in that situation in a game, so what's the point? Same with the rondo they do at training and in warm ups, they do it there but in a match they panic and ultimately pump it clear or lose it. Fwiw I'm not against pumping it out if in danger, if in doubt kick it out, too many teams not just town faff around and pay the price. RE: Cardiff v Town match thread - Lord Snooty - 06-11-2021 Cardiff Anagrams: Five found, five still to get.
RE: Cardiff v Town match thread - ritchiebaby - 07-11-2021 4 is Len Davies RE: Cardiff v Town match thread - Lord Snooty - 07-11-2021 One of the things that infurited at times during David Wagner's time at Town, was his constant tinkering with the starting XI. Or squad rotation as it's more commonly known. It did work though, obviously. His players always looked fresh when called upon and would always be still looking fit at the back end of games. Carlos has failed in this aspect. Picking the same starting XI for three games this week has back fired spectacular. Both at Peterborough and Cardiff we have flagged at the end of the matches. Colwill coming in for criticism because he was outfoxed by one of the championship's top strikers. He's an 18 year old boy. Our prize asset this season has been Sorba Thomas, but he is also still a kid coming in from non league football. Rolando Aarons hasn't kicked a ball yet in the first team this season. Again he sat doing nowt while Sorba ran the right flank all on his own. He was criticized for being too far behind play. Well yes. He needs a full back with him. The B team have been scoring goals for fun recently. What more do lads in that side need to do to get in the first team squad? RE: Cardiff v Town match thread - WakeyTerrier - 07-11-2021 It’s a game we should have won by a country mile but as has been said before if you don’t take your chances the likelihood is it comes back to bite you on the arse. Great save from Smithies to deny Colwill but in reality it’s a free header from about 3yards out…he has to score. Danny Ward, chips the keeper and hits the post…again he has to score. Feel a little sorry for Carlos with having to sub Hogg and Holmes in the first half limited what he could do in the second half. We desperately need a striker who knows where the back of the goal is RE: Cardiff v Town match thread - Lord Snooty - 07-11-2021 Danny Ward works hard. So does Campbell. When did working hard become the main attribute of a striker, rather than scoring goals? Does Solanke work hard? As far as I can see, he let's the others work hard and then he takes all the glory. Same with Mitrovic. Moore, by all accounts, had a stinker yesterday, but then scored twice. ![]() RE: Cardiff v Town match thread - Lord Snooty - 07-11-2021 Cardiff Anagrams: Two from popular entertainment, one Cardiff landmark and a footballer still to get.
