David Rushbury RE: WBA vs Birmingham & Swansea - Match Thread - baggietrousers - 15-10-2021 Well this is a load of shit! AGAIN. RE: WBA vs Birmingham & Swansea - Match Thread - Stairs - 15-10-2021 Awful stuff. Roll on transfer window. Not that we will have any money to spend. RE: WBA vs Birmingham & Swansea - Match Thread - Minizin - 15-10-2021 We look so low on quality because all of our creative passes are from defenders. Midfield is anonymous and the attackers have their backs to goal. Going nowhere And when did we last win a header at a set piece? Millwall? RE: WBA vs Birmingham & Swansea - Match Thread - baggietrousers - 15-10-2021 Wouldn't trust Ishmael with with my sons pocket money, never mind any transfer funds!! RE: WBA vs Birmingham & Swansea - Match Thread - Baggie_One - 15-10-2021 Grant Thank the lord Woke me up RE: WBA vs Birmingham & Swansea - Match Thread - Lord Snooty - 15-10-2021 He did not 'alf crack that one, did he not? He did, first bit of space found all evening. Another dire performance so far though, just no attacking threat, plus look’s like mowatt has done his foot again RE: WBA vs Birmingham & Swansea - Match Thread - Salopbaggie - 15-10-2021 (15-10-2021, 22:32)baggietrousers Wrote: Wouldn't trust Ishmael with with my sons pocket money, never mind any transfer funds!! So you don't like any of VI's signings? Probably agree with Hugill, but the rest are improvements. Have to say we were lucky and in all honesty it is difficult to say we even deserved the win, only two players stood out for me and that was Clarke and Townsend says a lot really. RE: WBA vs Birmingham & Swansea - Match Thread - Slick_Footwork - 15-10-2021 Happy with the result but it really was an agonising watch... In terms of league position, we're exceeding my expectations so in theory I should be chuffed. BUT as someone who loves the game, I'm finding it hard to get any pleasure out of watching us at the moment. I don't yet know if I love or hate the manager... Part of me thinks he's serving up absolute dross. Another part of me thinks he's doing a great job getting the best out of what we have... Clearly we have the players to play better football than we are playing. The likes of Grady and Snodgrass are better "footballers" but rarely used. But maybe the reality is we'd be less competitive if we tried to play this way as we don't have enough footballers in the squad. Maybe the bully boy tactics are the best way of getting the best out of what we have got. For the best part our squad consists of completely mediocre players who can't trap a ball or pass straight. The likes of Furlong, Livermore, Ajayi and the list goes on. Time will tell if he's a genius or clown... But what I would say is, the only way to be accepted playing this dreadful stuff is if the results keep coming. If results start tailing off - which signs suggest they will - you can't persist with serving up this dull long boot dross. |
