RE: Canaries v Terriers 06/0April/21 - theo_luddite - 06-04-2021 Cheers BaggieBob, ![]() I cast an eye over your board from time to time and pass the occasional comment too, living amongst the Dingles you need a bit of sanity in your life occasionally. They've been very quiet for some reason this season, can't quite think why? Anyone would think they haven't been allowed out for a year. ![]() ![]() PS I saw what you did there ritchie - could have been a bit nearer the knuckle too, so well done for keeping it family friendly ![]() RE: Canaries v Terriers 06/0April/21 - Amelia Chaffinch - 06-04-2021 I like a prawn and marie rose sauce in my teacake so maybe I could mix it in the director's box. Until I open my mouth. The rest of the time I am vegetarian, so I like a grilled halloumi and olive bap, or roasted veg and feta, or good old cheese and pickle / caramelised onion chutney (I favour wensleydale, Gromit). I love a sarnie. ![]() I have a love / hate relationship with Delia. I don't actually think she's that good a cook. Is she just following recipes or is she creative? I'm not sure. My family owned a bakery and I'm not sure she'd pass Colman's mustard. I'm not sure about tonight. Depends if we can keep Pookey and the boys quiet. All I can hear is Mrs Merton's voice when they say Pukki's name. We'll probably hammer 'em 4-0. ![]() ![]() ![]() RE: Canaries v Terriers 06/0April/21 - theo_luddite - 06-04-2021 Well I didn't have you down for cocks prawntail but you learn something every day on here. RE: Canaries v Terriers 06/0April/21 - Amelia Chaffinch - 06-04-2021 Oooh I grew up in the 60s / 70s. Prawn cocktails in a shell (glass at home) were the height of sophistication and I loved the taste. I'm sure you remember it, theo. ![]() There was a sandwich shop in Dewsbury called Anne's Pantry, owned later by Dempster Lister's. They did the best prawn cocktail on white. For a change I might have a cheese slice in a currant teacake. Ever tried that? I don't know if it's a Yorkshire thing? I'm hungry now. ![]() RE: Canaries v Terriers 06/0April/21 - jjamez - 06-04-2021 Looks like Tommy Elphick has travelled with the squad tonight RE: Canaries v Terriers 06/0April/21 - Amelia Chaffinch - 06-04-2021 (06-04-2021, 19:36)jjamez Wrote: Looks like Tommy Elphick has travelled with the squad tonight Interesting. Or more to do with a coaching role? RE: Canaries v Terriers 06/0April/21 - theo_luddite - 06-04-2021 (06-04-2021, 19:35)Amelia Chaffinch Wrote: Oooh I grew up in the 60s / 70s. My cousin stills serves it up for Christmas Day lunch starters. I'll never get to forget it. ![]() ![]() I ain't seen proper current teacakes down here for ages. You're lucky if they offer a choice of brown or white. Anyroad - I've a wok full of chicken curry on the go - you need far too many of 'em to make it worthwhile to do a canary curry. Should be fully fettled for half-time if I remember to throw the peas and a few more 'erbs in on the 35-40 minute mark. Team news 4 changes ➡ Richard Stearman, Juninho Bacuna, Isaac Mbenza & Danny Ward ⬅ Pipa, Álex Vallejo, Fraizer Campbell & Yaya Sanogo Holy smokes - Danny Ward starting. Will he make it to half-time? Double smokes - Elphick on the bench RE: Canaries v Terriers 06/0April/21 - Lord Snooty - 06-04-2021 Just rushed to get everything done to watch the big build up from the advertised starting time of 7pm. Only to find we're not on til half past now. ![]() Schofield out ill. Perreira in goal. RE: Canaries v Terriers 06/0April/21 - Amelia Chaffinch - 06-04-2021 They're at it again. An unbeaten run takes us away from the bottom three. When were we in the bottom three. They know nowt about us. RE: Canaries v Terriers 06/0April/21 - theo_luddite - 06-04-2021 Tsk. Pundits eh? What do they know? |
