Great news! RE: January 2021 transfer news - who's in and who's out? - hibeejim21 - 10-01-2021 Jackson Irvine signing for us as a free agent. RE: January 2021 transfer news - who's in and who's out? - 0762 - 10-01-2021 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jackson_Irvine Could be a decent signing. Depends on his overall fitness and if he can "hit the ground running". RE: January 2021 transfer news - who's in and who's out? - hibeejim21 - 11-01-2021 He was surprisingly good times I've saw him with Australia. Fingers crossed. RE: January 2021 transfer news - who's in and who's out? - BouncingHibees - 12-01-2021 Deal for Irvine done seemingly RE: January 2021 transfer news - who's in and who's out? - 0762 - 12-01-2021 (12-01-2021, 17:50)BouncingHibees Wrote: Deal for Irvine done seemingly https://www.hibernianfc.co.uk/article/interview-jackson-irvine Looks like he is reasonably fit thanks to training with Oldham Athletic. Maybe needs a few games to "top up" his fitness to competitive match level. RE: January 2021 transfer news - who's in and who's out? - 0762 - 15-01-2021 https://www.hibernianfc.co.uk/article/chris-cadden-is-a-hibee Hibs sign up Chris Cadden, IMO a very good signing, a lotta experience and also a flexible player who can cover various positions. He should slot in to Hibs team very well. RE: January 2021 transfer news - who's in and who's out? - hibeejim21 - 16-01-2021 Thats 2 potentially very good signings coming in. Great stuff! RE: January 2021 transfer news - who's in and who's out? - 0762 - 29-01-2021 Coming to the end of the "transfer window" period and rumours abound doon Leith! Looks like a £2M bid from Birmingham City for Kevin Nisbet could be legitimate. Also a £1M bid for Ryan Porteous from Wigan Ath again possible. English FA clubs looking at a cheap market where they can pick up potentially decent players for a small transfer fee by their standards. In Nisbet's case the Pars would receive 25% of a sell on fee. Therefore I'd say there is an issue whether to sell for a vg return or believe that this lad can improve and possibly treble that price anyway. Re Porteous, he is still "learning his trade" and I certainly regard him as a potential future Hibs captain who needs expert guidance to progress properly and be recalled to the Scotland international set up. That £1M bid is cheeky IMO, far too low. Again hold him and try to improve his all round game. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/sport/news/celtic-fans-respond-to-josh-doig-rumours/ar-BB1dbHBS?ocid=msedgdhp Also some bigger footie clubs, incl Celtic, monitoring Doig's progress!! At this rate we could lose all our best players lol!! It's a pity we can't move Boyle "oot the door" for a decent transfer fee - that would be a transfer that would suit us eh! RE: January 2021 transfer news - who's in and who's out? - HerefordBull - 29-01-2021 A while ago Boyle was attracting interest , unfortunately his form now means all that has declined. Don't know if Small Heath Alliance will want both Cosgrove and Nisbet so hopefully he will stay. Not sure if they have got 4 million for both of them. Porteous should also stay in my opinion, as he is still learning his trade and feel he will develop this at ER. Another season or two, if he does continue to progress he will be worth a lot more than 1 million which is pocket money in the English Leagues for many clubs. Another example of English Clubs taking a punt on young Scottish prospects for peanuts in the hope they uncover a gem but no great loss if it doesn't work out , except a lot of the time, to the players career. ...........see Jason is now trying to resurrect his at Dundee, so good luck to him. |
