There is no such thing as Islamisation, because it is not only a religion which is divided, but also it is very violently divided and is killing its "apparent" own right across the middle east every single day.
Its influence appears to be rising only because of its access to capital. And that is wholly funded by oil. And what is going to happen to oil? It is going to run out. They are violently opposed to the West because they think our way of life will engulf them. And they are right; they're not the future, they're the past. IS may destroy ancient monuments, but western culture consumes and devalues everything with which it comes into contact.
Like Matt I know immigration has been a massive benefit to both us and America over the years. Equally I agree it inevitably changes the country. I am happy to limit immigration, but the first step is to know who is coming in and who is leaving and to be capable of putting the figures together. And we aren't even close.
It is simply garbage to say there are a million illegals. They are illegals. We don't even track legals properly. This is a made-up figure, a wild guess. (Probably based on the kitchen-staff in two restaurants ..... that openly advertise their ethnicity by the sign over the door.)
As for current immigration and border checks etc. both Britain and our EU neighbours have a huge vested interest in making everything as complicated and slow as possible at the moment. (We want staff and organisation: they don't want us to go and are saying in every way, you'll be sorry.)
Blue mate if you want to worry, worry about something which might change our world forever like China maybe. Or China, the Gulf States and Russian owning half of London ....... and a lot of America too. We aren't going to be growing beards, and publicly slaughtering Radio One DJ's in Piccadilly in this century. Given half a chance young muslims are wearing jeans, partying and opening twitter accounts. We hear about all these people who went off to fight for IS, yet in truth they wouldn't make a decent crowd for Accrington Stanley.

But its the few that cause the problems Dev thats why its important to sift them out .If we cant do that and Its looking like we cant because Liberal minded centrist politicians never change anything of note,then we are in for years of pain .

Blue, there wouldn't be any crime if we could sift the criminals out.
Once you start sifting people out because you think they might be dangerous you'll have done the terrorists' work for them.
There will be dreadful attacks, innocent people will be killed. There will be the mentally deranged, there will be terrorists and there will be the politically-obsessed and sometimes all three will be mixed into one. I don't say we can't do anything, but we certainly can't arrange society on the basis that we stop these things at all costs. We are all going to die, but if we only think about dying we won't give ourselves the time and space in which to live.

Sorry Blue but I think you are on your own with this one. Just because you see all Muslims as terrorists not everybody has the same views. The Muslim religion is part and parcel of the British way of life. If you don't like it blame your forbears. Its not a recent thing. When the Victorians decided to pillage what they could from India, it all ended with the carve up of India and Pakistan, a large number of people ended up with British passports because Pakistan was made part of the Commonwealth. There are over 1 million Muslim Pakistanis in the UK and you cant turn the clock back.
If you did try and put the clock back there would be a lot of sad Brits (including me) as you would be closing down nearly every single Indian restaurant in the country.
Nearly 1 million Pakistani Muslims fought with the British Army in the first and second world wars, thousands more worked in the munitions factories and helped us win the war against a true terrorist and his many many atrocities. Isis is a little kitten by comparison.

I hear what you're saying Dancing and Ive said all along I am not against controlled immigration ,allowing foreigners in who will enrich the country but when another Islamic atrocity happens in a public place in Britain will you just accept it for what it is and perhaps hold a vigil and say some prayers ?
I love Indian food but even the people who own and work in the restaurants at least wear western style clothing because they have respect for the country who has allowed them to prosper.Its the ones who sponge off us whilst preaching the Quran that should be ousted and there are thousands.

You picked a bad one there Blue. Israel has as a lot to answer for. Invaders of other countries and then set up towns and villages there kicking out the indigenous population. There are probably more Jews in the UK than Muslims. Where did they all come from and do they all try to blend in? Before you answer maybe you should take a trip down to Golders Green and see the caps and ringlets.
The middle east will forever be on the verge of war, its historic and there's nothing you or I will ever be able to do about it. The same thing applies to the population of the UK, we are a mixed race society and all the better for it and you cant turn the clock back. Ban all religion and go on a book burning rampage, that's the only way you will ever get world peace.

But there has been a significant change in the last 10 years which I have not seen in my lifetime it is glaringly obvious ,the influx of migrants mainly muslim and I must have been living in a box because It has hit me ,I have seen a massive difference and it troubles me .
