RE: Match Thread - SWFC v Charlton - Owlkev71 - 19-03-2016 Lopez and Nuhiu changed the game for us 2nd half and we won comfortably in the end. Third definitely an OG. On the attendance there was never 10000 empty seats today, more like 32,000 actual attendance RE: Match Thread - SWFC v Charlton - Imre varadi - 19-03-2016 so what your saying owlskev is that charlies ![]() ![]() https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZa71gEOxFs Heres our carlos !! RE: Match Thread - SWFC v Charlton - consilio - 19-03-2016 Much better after the break Lopez and Nuhiu game changers. Hutchinson was awful, nearly cost us after 30 seconds with a challenge that deserved straight red and didn't even get yellow!! The ref looked after FF and gave every challenge against him. Loovens shaky in the 1st half. Lees a rock as always. Full backs attacked well. Wallace provided decent service throughout Excellent second half. Good win RE: Match Thread - SWFC v Charlton - Maddix - 19-03-2016 I've been impressed by Lopez the last two games he's played ![]() ![]() RE: Match Thread - SWFC v Charlton - Statesideowl - 19-03-2016 We've surpassed last seasons points total. We finished on 60pts Currently on 62pts with 8 games to go!! The long term injuries meant we never got to see their real capabilities the first half of the season. I keep thinking that Matias will score the 89th minute winner at Wembley in May ![]() ![]() RE: Match Thread - SWFC v Charlton - Owlshighgreen - 20-03-2016 To you American owls.Do you think I could find a channel showing the playoffs in LA in May obvs depends which channels are available in the hotel?? I'm pretty sure they have shown the playoffs in past years but not sure which network has the rights for this year. In LA there's bound to be some English or Irish bars showing all the games. RE: Match Thread - SWFC v Charlton - Maddix - 20-03-2016 Mathematically we have avoided relegation ![]() RE: Match Thread - SWFC v Charlton - A57owl - 20-03-2016 Superb 2nd half after an uninspiring first half. Hutch could have been easily sent off first half and spent too much time near our defence rather than pushing the team forward as Bannan. To save a sending off CC was right to sub him. McGeady had some good moments but his change for Nuhiu turned the game. With his new shorter hair, the big man was a revelation, he had a huge impact, fighting for every ball, causing their defense to double up on him which freed up space for FF and Hoops. It was basically one way traffic in the 2nd half. I also like the way Nuhiu reacts with the crowd, trying to lift them and get them going. As our attacking increased so did the noise from the crowd, it seemed the first goal had to come, it was a great ball into the box for Lees to head in. Lopez had a good half too, he was more attack minded than Hutch which helped us push forward. It is great to have a manager who can see our problems and react to them quickly. Rather then 'seeing how it goes in the 2nd', he was brave enough to make the changes immediately. Well done CC. Today was a good day to be an Owl. A big crowd which helped us in the 2nd half. Some good performances, 3 goals and other results going for us. We now have 2 weeks to recharge, get players fit and work on any refinements on the training ground. We have 8 more games to go which will hopefully put us in the play offs. Come on Wednesday... lets do this!! |
