Have you noticed how similar a scenario this is with Trump's period of dictatorship in the US and the number of advisers who either resigned or were sacked because they didn't "see eye to eye" with Trump and his horrible populist behaviour. Again it was all about him, the narcissist in full view.

Thing is, this trip wasn't "last minute" - there's all kinds of high level security to be in place (well, except when he goes on an unsupervised bender in Italy) before this shit happens. That trip to Yorksha, even though it would have been politically predictable had it happened was an organised cover for him turning up in Kiev. However it never was gonna 'appen. Why they'd all meet up in Doncaster when it's Wakefield where the by-election is taking place is one clue.
He knows he's gonna get a pasting in that one. An MP (now convict) that's been done for kiddy-fiddling and a PM that's been convicted for being pissed while on duty aren't going to win many votes in a city that was Labour all day long (until the numpties fell for the lies from the clown in the romper suit).
That the "Red Wall" MP's that travelled from as far and wide as ooh, across the The Pennines to be there expecting him to turn up and blow their trumpets for them and then get pissed off when he didn't, shows just how little they still know about the fat bloke with the toddler haircut and his modus-operandi. They were all on the receiving end of another of his dead cats.

This is a vg Guardian article, but it should've focused on the fact that Johnson and his govt cohorts have exposed a political system that is broken in so many different ways. The lack of a proper written constitution is one area of concern that has been has been so self-evident for such a long time
