I love Irn-Bru but never had a deep fried mars bar. I like Haggis though. RE: And the violence begins again as a big England match looms in Euro 2016!!! - 0762 - 15-06-2016 There are quite a few different recipes for haggis these days, incl a curried one! I still prefer the traditional version all the same - add some mashed neep to the plate and a touch of brown sauce, yummy! Here's a good bbc article that covers the pressures on Hodgson/the FA, Russia and the French authorities. It's a fairly good summary of the issues related to England's probs and other actions that poss should've been initiated by the FA. http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36536122 RE: And the violence begins again as a big England match looms in Euro 2016!!! - Imre varadi - 16-06-2016 To tell you the truth 0762 i couldnt give a xxxx about Woy and his team anymore ( sorry never could ) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() RE: And the violence begins again as a big England match looms in Euro 2016!!! - St Charles Owl - 16-06-2016 Hindsight is a wonderful thing and has 20/20 vision but the article is right in so much as what could have been predicted. I am not sure anyone predicted the type of thug to arrive from Russia but even so the reputation of Englands fans should have been warning enough. There is no doubt England's fans past history puts a target on their backs for any other country's hooligans to take aim at, and that has been very evident this time, but the choice of Marseilles and Lens for these games is stupid, and IIRC this was mentioned in the media when the draw was made, but yet still no one listened. Thats one of the problems with UEFA and in particular FIFA, its their stubborness to look at logical complaint and advice when they make a bad decision and make a change when everyone else can see it needs to be changed. I am ok with Russia holding the WC but still we sit here and listen to reports of so many people dying to build crazy stadiums in Qatar for a WC that absolutely no one wants and has now virtually been proved to be both a flawed choice and a corrupt one as well. The FA of any country could complain until they are blue in the face, once these dinasaur organisations make a decision there is nothing on earth that will get them to admit a mistake and change it!! RE: And the violence begins again as a big England match looms in Euro 2016!!! - Imre varadi - 16-06-2016 again french police charging the English for singing to much and taking the piss too much but not fighting ? the french are not fit to have a tournement ever agian wankers ! niether are uefa or fiffa to organize one for that matter but this has been stated time and time again ! ![]() Watching yet more ultras kick the shit out off kiddies ! RE: And the violence begins again as a big England match looms in Euro 2016!!! - Lord Snooty - 16-06-2016 One of the England fans, interviewed last night by SSN after the tear gas had been deployed, said that the French authorities were not up to the job and the tournament should be taken off them. Well yes. Obviously every major football tournament should be held in England because we're the only country in the world that has the ability to stage something of this magnitude correctly. ![]() Maybe it should've been taken away from them for their own safety after the Paris terrorist attacks last year. They've got enough on their plates with all that going on and shouldn't have been burdened with the job of chaperoning football supporters intent of enjoying themselves at what should be a festival of football. Eh ? It's a drawn tournament SCO, if you are selected as team X in group Z you will play where those games have already been designated. End of. What should UEFA do? Say, "OK, guys, you are meant to be playing in Marseille but seeing as your fans can't be trusted to behave we are looking for a volunteer to swap with you... Iceland, Austria, mind swapping Lyon for Marseille?" I don't think so. These cities are major footballing venues in france, they were always going to be included. |
