everyone wrote Italy off pre tournament. So far looking good. 18/1 was way too long for these and my mates fiver looks like its in with a shout

the most confident and capable performance of any team so far in their opener. Unless the Italians are about to go back to playing like they did with Toto Schilachi this could be a one off.

Belgium have some great players but appear to have no team spirit!! Contrast their reactions to each other's with the way the Italians constantly got each other going.

Italy, written off by the experts as the worst Italian side in his history, their national anthem appears to have only one word, they sing it with gusto and pride, on the pitch, they hack you down, time waste and play great football and are fun to watch great performance last night and their keeper wears different coloured gloves that is class.

Having an Italian grandmother has been a godsend for me over the years
I've always had a team to follow at major tournaments after Engerrrlaaand have f'ucked up 
Although I rarely bet, I do recall fondly how I put a pound, nearly four pints in those days , on Italy at 40-1 for the 1982 WC when they drew Argentina and Brazil in the 2nd phase Stand up Paulo Rossi

Russia handed a suspended expulsion from the tournament and 150k fine. It'll do xxxx all.
From the outside it seems like this is all state supported with their mp's coming out and praising the hooligans for supporting their country to the max
