But we are told what we MUST spend that £190M on Angry

Sounds typical..

So the word on the grapevine now is that Hanley is likely to join Newcastle. You'd expect out of the two clubs he'd certainly choose Newcastle.

EU Migration was never really a problem to begin with (possibly within the last decade it increased) it has generally been Non-EU immigrants that caused any burden. Yet people partly voted on EU migration?

Anyway! I can't see it being an issue, just more red tape and paper work for clubs. People should still be able to travel to the UK and stay up to 6 months without a Visa I believe?

A work permit may be needed.

This is the crucial bit. Work permits for EU players. EPL team's players are likely to have recent international experience that will get them enough points to get one but what about the lesser level of player us and other Championship teams will be looking to sign. Given that it's going to take two years or so to finalise the BREXIT next season and players already under contract are unlikely to be a problem but new players (and managers) after that are.

Yes but we have all been shouting for more English players to be given a chance, this may actually force the big clubs to bring some of their academy players through to the first team.

it would mean players such as melo who came and played 2 games and sucked a wage from the club would be sent back home wouldnt it ?

RE: Ins & Outs 2016 - Statesideowl - 25-06-2016

I don't think so. He'd have a Visa/Work permit and then a contract for 2-3yrs? I doubt it changes much when it comes to 'employing' a Lemon. We'd still be lumped with them until their work permit/contract ran out.

That would be interesting though, if clubs found themselves stuck with foreign players and could just push the 'Deport' button. Laugh

It would be interesting to speculate whether Carlos would have been employed if we hadn't been in the EU last summer.

Actually, it's not that interesting and I've bored myself already.

Work permits, Visas and stamps.

One thing is for certain, there's going to be revenue created from the extra bureaucratic process and those good old filing fee's.

All quiet on the signing front. We'll likely pick up a half dozen on Portugal.
