Can’t see Sancho starting, I think Kane and Sterling are definitely and then Sako deserves the start. He won’t mess with Phillips or Rice so that just leaves Mounts position up for grabs, haven’t been impressed with him so maybe Sancho could do a job there instead.

Remember watching him scoring the only goal v Scotland in 1982 at Hampden . He absolutely tortured us all afternoon and was the standout, and both teams were full of great players then - what a British team you could have made from the best of those sides.

I'd honestly just make one change from the Denmark game and bring in Henderson for Mount. Mainly because the central midfield for Italy is pretty strong.

Can't believe you voluntarily suggested Henderson for Mount?!!!!! Unfortunately I can believe it might happen. If it does you can chalk 2-0 Italy up on the results board now. We'd never get a shot. Jorginho and Verratti would just take on Henderson, Rice and Phillips themselves and Barela and whoever else Italy might throw in Locatelli or Pisani would be just free to thread difficult balls into our defence and push back Shaw and Walker to cover. Disaster waiting to happen.
One great thing Sterling does is to slow down in the box and draw players to him and increase his chances of being fouled (rather than having to dive!). Grealish, if we would dare to pick him, does that all over the opponent's half of the field. He isn't super-quick, but he changes pace and accelerates to deceive opponents. He is an outstanding player and shouldn't be left on the bench, but the same could be said of Chiesa for Italy, and exactly the same has been happening to him.
I can envisage very few questions to which Henderson would be my answer, especially if they didn't involve Dickie.

He could go for good old safety though and pick Henderson ! If he does it's over the Italians need to be occupied at the back that's why grealish or Sancho have to start for me .
