RE: 2021 January Transfer Window - 18th Jan - Big Sam Special - Salopbaggie - 22-01-2021 (22-01-2021, 12:50)wba13 Wrote: Anyway incoming being reported no names mentioned but possibly Diange from Galatasaray. I never believe any report linked to Turkish journalists until it happens Seriously though there is a YouTube video out there from back on 29th November last year titled: Mbaye Diagne 2020/2021 Welcome To West Bromwich Albion Skills & Goals.I have viewed a couple of the videos of him and the jury is out, there is a report he has 9 from 7 this season, I am sure Joss could tell us. Two things that concern me a little looking at the videos are, the quality of the defence in the goals he scored. Teams would be slaughtered in the Championship if they were to defend like some on those videos. Also the amount of sitters he misses in the videos with the time he has, never mind time to pick the shot, he often has time to read a book beforehand. That gives us a few more pennies to put towards any transfers. We have taken Austin, Bond, Zohore Harper and Krovinavic off our wage bill and bought in Snodgrass and Lonagan. So we’re in credit. RE: 2021 January Transfer Window - 22nd Jan - Big Sam Special - WBA-Josh - 22-01-2021 Diagne has 11 goals in 19 matches in all competitions so far this season. 9 in 15 in the league, 2 in 3 in the Europa league and 0 in 1 in the Turkish Cup. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/mbaye-diagne/leistungsdaten/spieler/271966 RE: 2021 January Transfer Window - 18th Jan - Big Sam Special - Slick_Footwork - 22-01-2021 (22-01-2021, 14:33)Salopbaggie Wrote:(22-01-2021, 12:50)wba13 Wrote: Anyway incoming being reported no names mentioned but possibly Diange from Galatasaray. I think they change the title of those videos based on who the player is linked with at the time, makes them look in the know if it happens - but it's probably had half a dozen titles since upload. But yea I looked at that one and agree that the guy couldn't finish his dinner... That said, he scores a lot of goals despite the amount he misses, so does have that knack of being in the right place at the right time. Also looks like a proper number 9, so something different to what we have. But agree the jury is out on how well he will do playing for a poorer team in a tougher league. Definitely a gamble, but I guess the choices are limited in January with little cash. Just have to hope that it's a good match if he does come. RE: 2021 January Transfer Window - 22nd Jan - Big Sam Special - Baggievicar - 22-01-2021 Takes a good penalty. Weak left foot, though. RE: 2021 January Transfer Window - 22nd Jan - Big Sam Special - wba13 - 22-01-2021 Krovinavic gone to Forest after we terminated his loan. Considering we retained both Livermore and Sawyers, I’m really disappointed we have parted company with Krovinovic. I feel he offers more than both of them, even if he doesn’t ideally fit into their positions. To be honest, based upon their recent performances, Mr Blobby could do a better job RE: 2021 January Transfer Window - 22nd Jan - Big Sam Special - drewks - 23-01-2021 (22-01-2021, 23:02)wba13 Wrote: Krovinavic gone to Forest after we terminated his loan. It DID seem that Krov was just chased and secured by SB in order to please Pereira, didn't it? Only a bit-part player in the Championship, FFS! I like him, but don't think we'll miss him one jot. Hope Pereira doesn't resort to chucking his toys about though... So about time we started getting some freebies, cheapies and loans in. I still think there will be 4 or more to come. CB, DM & Fwd, plus probably need another fwd or a utility defender, I know that makes 5, but will we get them all. Probably not. Come on big Sam and LD time is ticking away.(22-01-2021, 14:33)Salopbaggie Wrote:Krovinavic loan terminated he’s off to Forest for rest of season(22-01-2021, 12:50)wba13 Wrote: Anyway incoming being reported no names mentioned but possibly Diange from Galatasaray. RE: 2021 January Transfer Window - 22nd Jan - Big Sam Special - WBA-Josh - 23-01-2021 Krovinovic was more than a bit-part player last season. He played 40 times in the league, 24 of those were starts and it was only in 6 matches where he didn't make it on the pitch. I do think resigning him was a good decision in the summer because he added depth to the midfield but Slaven should have pritorited a defensive midfield player ahead of him. Under Allardyce there is only really room for 1 luxury player in the 11 and that will always be Pereira so I'm not really surprised that the loan has been ended. |
