RE: Feb 1st (Final Day): WBA January 2016 Transfer Window - drewks - 01-02-2016 How come most of the dealings in the January Transfer Window seem to be happening on Feb 1st? Bonkers ![]() RE: Feb 1st (Final Day): WBA January 2016 Transfer Window - Latecomer - 01-02-2016 Don't want to piss on anyone's parade (I'm very much in the positive camp when it comes to the Albion) but I would offer a little caution on Pritchard. When I couldn't get to Albion games last year I spent a lot of time watching Brentford with a mate from work. Pritchard was with them last year. At times he looked great but at other times he just sulked, didn't work hard and looked very very weak - got pushed off the ball so easily. Now saying all that, he's clearly talented, fast and the Prem will probably suit him better than the Champ, but if what I've seen of him is anything to go by, I wouldn't expect to see that much more of him than we have of McMannaman. RE: Feb 1st (Final Day): WBA January 2016 Transfer Window - Baggievicar - 01-02-2016 Senegalese left back being discussed. The joys of working at home this morning! The joys of working at home this morning! West Bromwich Albion has initiated discussions with representatives of Cheikh M'bengue . For now, however, no offers have been made by the current 14th Premier League . The left side Stade Rennes will be out of contract in June. http://www.lequipe.fr/Football/Actualites/Transfert-west-brom-discute-avec-cheikh-m-bengue-rennes/630343 RE: Feb 1st (Final Day): WBA January 2016 Transfer Window - BaggieMan - 01-02-2016 Cheikh M'bengue fits into the Pulis mould - over 6ft tall playing left back position ! RE: Feb 1st (Final Day): WBA January 2016 Transfer Window - Slick_Footwork - 01-02-2016 (01-02-2016, 13:01)TheBaggieMan Wrote: Cheikh M'bengue fits into the Pulis mould - over 6ft tall playing left back position ! Interesting theory about Pulis liking tall full backs. I remember Stoke getting promoted with Andy Griffin who was short and replacing him with Andy Wilkinson, who also looks short. Pulis tried to sign Neil Taylor from Swansea for us in the Summer who looks around 5'8 and didn't we also go for Martin Olsson? I think Pulis has some flaws but some anti Pulis posts don't seem balanced. He clearly has a track record of liking a 'target man' in his career, but big full backs? Can't say it's something I've really noticed. IMO Dawson was put there because he actually plays better there than he does at centre half. RE: Feb 1st (Final Day): WBA January 2016 Transfer Window - Dingle Bells - Dingle Bells - 01-02-2016 According to sky sports Pulis is not at WBA and Save Kemp took training today because Pulis is away on "footballing matters" Whatever that means. Right I,m going for a jog, hopefully once I'm back something might of happened. RE: Feb 1st (Final Day): WBA January 2016 Transfer Window - Salopbaggie - 01-02-2016 Odem-whingie on his way to France? RE: Feb 1st (Final Day): WBA January 2016 Transfer Window - Baggie_One - 01-02-2016 (01-02-2016, 14:25)Salopbaggie Wrote: Odem-whingie on his way to France? Is he driving there ? ![]() RE: Feb 1st (Final Day): WBA January 2016 Transfer Window - Salopbaggie - 01-02-2016 So how is Saido going to react now if rumours of him going nowhere are true. Newcastle removing what SB will feel JP used as an excuse in last window not to let him go, the payment structure. It appears that Newcastle have met JP's asking price, in cash and up front, which is pretty amazing given SB'S attitude since the last window. As I see it, JP can only use the excuse that Newcastle are a rival club so we will not sell for that reason, given the window before last and SB's agreement to play on as long as he would be allowed to leave in the last window and we all know what happened then. It can only end in tears from my prospective if he is not allowed to leave and to a certain extent I can understand SB's frustration. It will also be interesting to see where Pullis actually is, "away from the club" (on footballing matters) on transfer deadline day, really!!!!!! |
