RE: Summer Transfer Window 2019 - June 28th - WBA-Josh - 30-06-2019 I’ve been following Hegazi’s progress at AFCON this past week and he has some good teammates in the Egypt squad. The left back Ashraf has been good, his partner in defence tonight El Mohamady looks solid and is only 22 and Trezeguet on the left wing is very quick and strong but does drift in and out of games. For us, Ashraf could be good to push Gibbs at left back (plays centre back for his club so adds cover there as well) and Trezeguet would be good if we can tempt him to England from Turkey (might be too audacious though). RE: Summer Transfer Window 2019 - June 28th - Blue Baggie - 01-07-2019 (30-06-2019, 22:35)WBA-Josh Wrote: I’ve been following Hegazi’s progress at AFCON this past week and he has some good teammates in the Egypt squad. We stole Hegazi and signed him for a silly £1,250 / wk - which we had to quickly increase as it was clear he could perform at the top level. I will take your word for it about his team mates. Convincing our recruitment team to spending money is a major problem though. I'm open minded atm - but unless we back Bilic with 7 or 8 perm signings, we're more likely to be in another relegation battle the promotion IMO. We do have 5 weeks to sign 14 players (replacing those that have left) that's 3 a week. RE: Summer Transfer Window 2019 - June 28th - WBA-Josh - 01-07-2019 Youssouf Mulumbu has left Celtic. Would you guys and gals be open to a return to the club for him? He’s only 32 and would provide experienced cover in midfield. Maybe a 1 year deal with an option for a second if he plays over 25 times. RE: Summer Transfer Window 2019 - June 28th - drewks - 01-07-2019 Even if he was a shadow of the player he was before, I'd say a big fat YES to a return, Josh! RE: Summer Transfer Window 2019 - June 28th - BaggieSteve - 01-07-2019 I'd love to see Mulumbu back at the Hawthorns. Come back Youssuf, you know it's your proper home ![]() RE: Summer Transfer Window 2019 - June 28th - Beefy 1965 - 01-07-2019 Filip Krovinović is set to fly to England within the next 72 hours to finalise a move to #wba after agreeing a €300k loan fee with Benfica according to reports in Portugal.... RE: Summer Transfer Window 2019 - June 28th - Blue Baggie - 01-07-2019 Paul Terry (yes John's brother) has joined our ever growing recruitment team. If the recruitment team bring in one "yes just one" player each and Bilic and his 3 assistants bring in one each - A bonus point for the first to tell me how many additional players we could have? Great news if true. That’s the number 10, who can also play as an 8, that we need to make Bilić’s systems work. https://www.transfermarkt.com/filip-krovinovic/profil/spieler/261988 As for Mulumbu, I’d love to see him return. Bilić likes a box-to-box midfielder in his central 3 and at the moment we only have Harper who can actually do it. Mulumbu would give us the experience to cover Harper so he can rested when needed and we won’t lose any energy in the middle RE: Summer Transfer Window 2019 - June 28th - bomberbrown1968 - 01-07-2019 (01-07-2019, 11:34)WBA-Josh Wrote: Youssouf Mulumbu has left Celtic. I'd drive up and fetch him from Scotland myself, still think he could do a job better than most for us ![]() RE: Summer Transfer Window 2019 - June 28th - Beefy 1965 - 01-07-2019 Bye Bye Daws ...............
