RE: The Push for Promotion - Act 2 Season 2015-16 - consilio - 07-01-2016 CC is never going to come out in the press and say that he hopes we get knocked out of the cup. I want to see us on a long Cup run, as long as the players are managed properly to prevent injury. Hasn't done Stoke any harm this season. RE: The Push for Promotion - Act 2 Season 2015-16 - Imre varadi - 07-01-2016 Not yet it hasnt ? but the premier league is tough !! and if they lose lets say 3 on the trot ? they could be right in the stink !!! Im all for respecting the Facup and playing but we must play our second string on saturday !! they are good enough to beat Fulham whos record at Hillsborough is shite !! but the problem is if we get lets say the pigs or one of the so called top ten premier teams the next round , he will play a full force first teaam !! and we will see the same thing happening like the carling cup !! hopefully we will draw some shit teams at home again all the way to the quarters though ? the facup is magic in the fact that you might not get a hard game untill the semis even ?? and sometimes it gives the players a break from the hard work of the championship !! games are more open and it sometimes ends up like a kick about on a sunday field !! our fans deserve to enjoy games , not just suffer and bite there nails untill the 3pts are in the bag !!! It will be mainly a shadow team. RE: The Push for Promotion - Act 2 Season 2015-16 - St Charles Owl - 07-01-2016 I have no problem with a good run in the cup and nowhere in that article does he say who will be playing anyway. The FA Cup does pose less problems than the League Cup because it does not add an extra game until the later rounds. The initial rounds are played on Saturdays when we do not have other games scheduled and aside from replays we will not have to play any midweek games in the cup. I expect him to make wholesale changes to the team that played on Saturday and give a bunch of players a full 90 minutes. RE: The Push for Promotion - Act 2 Season 2015-16 - Thurnscoe_OWL - 07-01-2016 couldnt care less about the cup tbh. with regards matias, I think he was being played with his hernia problem and we didnt see his full potential RE: The Push for Promotion - Act 2 Season 2015-16 - madsteve - 07-01-2016 (07-01-2016, 18:49)St Charles Owl Wrote: I have no problem with a good run in the cup and nowhere in that article does he say who will be playing anyway. There is a full SBC fixture list on 4th Round FA Cup Day so if we win, our match against Burnley will be postponed to a midweek date. Add in a possible replay & suddenly we have fixture congestion again. In the past am I remembering correctly that the 3rd and 4th round weekends were always left blank by the Prem and Championship?? If so then this is a departure from previous seasons. Of course it also follows that if Burnley win their game at Boro our game will still be postponed. Think it changed last year for the first time & most clubs played the matches on the Tuesday before 4th Round Day. RE: The Push for Promotion - Act 2 Season 2015-16 - Statesideowl - 07-01-2016 Norwich have slapped a 3.5M tag on Hooper. Cheap compared to other British strikers, is he worth the dough? We paid 2M for Joao correct? That means Hoopers fairly cheap, no? http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwich-city/rumour_mill_norwich_city_slap_3_5m_price_tag_on_gary_hooper_amid_sheffield_wednesday_interest_1_4370469 RE: The Push for Promotion - Act 2 Season 2015-16 - Southeyowl - 07-01-2016 Value for money! At Fulham on Saturday he finally looked the real deal! |
