RE: Players for Pounds 2022-2023 - theo_luddite - 30-04-2023 After that nail biter in Cardiff, AmChaff picks up another pair for two goals in the Sweeney Todd kit, and Cardiff's players Jack Simpson and Isaak Davies give ritchie another brace too. Town finally win at Cardiff's new stadium, another monkey off our back thanks to the miraculous work of Neil and Rocket Ron. ![]() RE: Players for Pounds 2022-2023 - Lord Snooty - 30-04-2023 I'll replace Holmes and Kernockart for the final two games with Headley and Hungbo. RE: Players for Pounds 2022-2023 - theo_luddite - 06-05-2023 SHEP had Danny Ward on his list, unfortunately it's the Welsh one that played in The World Cup, so we're on £137 going into the last game, with £25 of bonus £'s to come from Snoots and ritchie between them plus any rounding up that goes on at the end of the season. Before that however, can ritchie make it to an incredible £60 from goals and match points alone and can Snoots make it to an incredible £10 from the Reading game? RE: Players for Pounds 2022-2023 - ritchiebaby - 07-05-2023 Of course we can, theo! RE: Players for Pounds 2022-2023 - theo_luddite - 09-05-2023 Well we didn't quite match all those heady heights, but we did hit £140 before bonus £'s and any rounding up's kicked in. Not sure whether Naby Sarr was trying to help us score or not but his somewhat dubious back passing with the Reading keeper led to the first goal. The ball eventually broke to Josh Koroma who returned it with interest for Snoots and ritchie (who else?) to notch up £1 each. Snoots into double figures!!! Oooo'd a thunk eh? It looked like me and Snoots were in for another £1 each when the ball was eventually crossed by Rhodes chasing a pass everyone left to the back post for a controlled volley by Rudoni. That shot looked destined to head into the back of the net, but Naby (Inspector Gadget Legs - thanks for that name Mr. Glennon ![]() Then he goes and smashes it for Legs 11 when Joseph Hungbo goes and bangs in a screamer from the edge of the box. If Watford don't want him can we have him back please? You too Snoots. ![]() That inspired late choice took us to £140 for the season. ![]() So now for the bonus £'s. Snoots and ritchie pledged another £25 between them for positional places. The moths in Snoots wallet aren't going to be pleased but there was a long while where they were potentially coughing up £24 of Charlie's newly printed bank notes. I'm going to round up my £24 to £30. Let me know if anyone else can find additional pledges from down the back of the sofa and I'll add them before closing this out. Which all means ritchie has earned well over 1/3rd of our current total of £171, which is far better than some of our recent seasons that only just crawled into 3 figures. At a fantastic £65 that's way above any figure I've got a record for. SHEP had £50 last season and the next bests have been in the £40's. Nowt much to choose between Snoots, SHEP and myself with AmChaff and jjamez contributing a similar amount between them. All good given jjamez joined in for the 2nd half of the season. ![]() I'll set up the Just Giving and Jordan Sinnott Foundation links later in the week (or maybe next) as it's a few weeks to the next payday. Thanks all for joining in the fun again, have a good summer and let's hope that brings us a season where we don't need our finger nails fixing quite as often and we only need one guy (or gal, well, never say never) in charge of the squad. ![]() PS - it was nice of the Town fans to sing Naby's old song at the end of the game. RE: Players for Pounds 2022-2023 - Lord Snooty - 09-05-2023 Nice work, theo. And very generous from everyone, particularly Ritchie babes. ![]() RE: Players for Pounds 2022-2023 - ritchiebaby - 16-05-2023 £65 is more than my contributions for the last two seasons combined! I'll pay up at the end of the month when my pension comes in. ![]() RE: Players for Pounds 2022-2023 - theo_luddite - 17-05-2023 I'll get the links done over the weekend.
