RE: 2022 (Final Day): Summer Transfer Window - Stairs - 02-09-2022 West Brom may have completed an extremely late loan move to bring Josh Onomah in from Fulham on deadline day - so Newsnow feed is suggesting. Fingers crossed that happens. I know we have a new striker and he could be a gem in the making but I am now curious about what is out there as a Free Agent and if there is something special rather than the journey men and walking injured we usually associate ourselves with. RE: 2022 (Final Day): Summer Transfer Window - Stairs - 02-09-2022 In fact both Onomah (currently in hotel waiting for confirmation) and Alzate could still happen if the officials are lenient https://www.westbromnews.co.uk/2022/09/02/josh-onomah-in-birmingham-hotel-in-wait-to-find-out-fate-of-west-brom-move/ RE: 2022 (Final Day): Summer Transfer Window - drewks - 02-09-2022 (02-09-2022, 14:37)Stairs Wrote: In fact both Onomah (currently in hotel waiting for confirmation) and Alzate could still happen if the officials are lenient ... I'm not sure how lenient the 'powers that be' are - or even SHOULD be - in these situations. If a registration is late, its late, surely? Do they look at the circumstances surrounding each case on appeal? Maybe if it's down to no fault on the 'new' club they are a bit more forgiving? Let's hope so! RE: 2022 (Final Day): Summer Transfer Window - Baggie_One - 02-09-2022 How does a professionally run club actually fail on this !? In todays technological world, how is it possible ? Not ran a football club before, so i do not know the "ins and outs" of how to conduct the business, but you cannot blame the fax machine................ https://www.westbromnews.co.uk/2022/09/02/ron-gourlay-statement-due-as-west-brom-deadline-day-failure-leads-to-widespread-outrage/ RE: 2022 (Final Day): Summer Transfer Window - Stairs - 02-09-2022 (02-09-2022, 15:13)drewks Wrote:(02-09-2022, 14:37)Stairs Wrote: In fact both Onomah (currently in hotel waiting for confirmation) and Alzate could still happen if the officials are lenient I agree, as with VAR, offside by a gnat's whisker is still offside and we know the rules so the same applies in these modern times with clear recording of the date and time sent. So, it's very much a case of 'The computer says no'. If the issue was at West Brom then heads should role as it could cost us a promotion challenge and many millions of pounds. RE: 2022 (Final Day): Summer Transfer Window - Dingle-Dingle - 02-09-2022 The greed league are allowed leeway, it`s only the plebs in the EFL who get clobbered. Everybody hates West Brom.
