It's going to happen to more and more of them unfortunately. A young doctor I met coaching young kids football was onto this over 20 years ago. Didn't want the kids heading the ball back then.

I wouldn't ban heading yet, I'd like to see more studies as the years go by.

I mean a football back in the 50's, 60's and early 70's is a completely different thing to the the football modern day footballers play with today. These days they are more like a 10p floater or what ever people used to call them

They are, but they travel faster now too. It's the momentum of the ball (mass x speed) that's the issue when it hits you on the noggin, not just how heavy they are.

Well, it's repeated rattling of the brain. It's not isolated. Add to that occasional fouls on the head or the likes of Hogg, or from the past, Schindy and Peter Clarke who would nut their way through a wall for the club. It all adds up to considerable trauma to the head over time.
