RE: 2021 January Transfer Window - Big Sam Special - harrogatebaggie - 29-12-2020 Luke Dowling has always said, players have a price, and he has been happy to wheel and deal, as has allardyce. So I suspect that if a good offer of 15m does come for Sj it will be considered. Just hope they say give us 18m now or F off, don’t want it talked about all through the transfer window. That does no one any good, club or player. Big Sam will have the last say, they won’t make the hegazi mistake again. I get the point re Suarez coutinho or mane salah. It was good business for pool and they would not be where they are without the deals they did including van dijk. Other good examples are what Southampton do and Brentford. Both sell players for top dollar, and are willing to pay slightly above the odds to bring in replacements from lower teams. We have guys with potential but we need a bit of time to bring them on, such as O’Shea, furlong, Grady, Grant, Palmer, Field, Morton. No supporter likes to see a good player go, but Sam needs to bring players in if we are to stay up. Remember we can only bring one more loan player in from a premier league side, but can beg steal or borrow from level 2 or abroad. We have to trust in LD and SA as we know lai won’t be chipping in! Pulis has been sacked, he is never gonna lose that never relegated tag, if he doesn’t really try and win. Lol RE: 2021 January Transfer Window - Big Sam Special - WBA-Josh - 29-12-2020 45 days. 1 win in 10. 7 points from 30 available. That is the record of Pulis at Wednesday. At least he'll keep his never been relegated tag.
RE: 2021 January Transfer Window - Big Sam Special - drewks - 29-12-2020 Oumar Niasse... https://www.westbromnews.co.uk/2020/12/29/30y-o-ex-pl-striker-ready-to-drive-himself-to-west-brom-and-sign-deal-if-allardyce-comes-calling/ Tenuous link, possibly. Can't say I remember the gentleman. Josh?? RE: 2021 January Transfer Window - Big Sam Special - Baggievicar - 29-12-2020 For Niasse, read Zohore. RE: 2021 January Transfer Window - Big Sam Special - Slick_Footwork - 29-12-2020 (29-12-2020, 15:55)drewks Wrote: Oumar Niasse... I remember him scoring an equaliser against us for Everton, the season we were relegated. Looking back at the dates, it was the year Big Sam was in charge of Everton, so that would be the link comes from. He actually registered 8 Premier League goals from 22 games that season. Bizarrely in his other 3 seasons at Everton he didn't register a single goal. He had a couple of loan spells, firstly to Hull (prior to the season he scored against us) and in 2019 in Cardiff. I remember him doing well at Hull, despite them being relegated, which is probably why he was given his chance at Everton the following season. However, I don't remember him at Cardiff at all. He didn't score a goal for them looking at the stats. Given he hasn't scored a goal since that season he netted for Everton against us and has been without a club for 6 months, I'd be surprised if he's up to the task of playing in the Premier League now. As a free agent, Sam could easily invite him down to take a look at him anyway. My memory of him at Hull was that he was a grafter, strong and capable of poaching a goal in and around the box with feet or head. Sounds like the new Victor Anichebe RE: 2021 January Transfer Window - Big Sam Special - wba13 - 30-12-2020 This squad is proving how wrong Bilic was to put his trust in the Championship players. Some of them don’t have the bottle for the fight It is up to Sam to bring in the right calibre of player to fight , Deeney would be a good start. Along with a left back as Gibbs is to fragile and a midfield enforcer. Did Anichebe ever hit the dizzy heights of 8 goals a season?

RE: 2021 January Transfer Window - Big Sam Special - Baggievicar - 30-12-2020 Sam last night sounded either realistic or depressed about the chances of anyone decent wanting to join us. He's probably right. |
