Sorry but no overdraft it was never used . Goodbye Daws decent but not some we cannot replace , enjoy yourself with your strike partner. Remember he does not want to be here. We move on .

Dawson wasn't at his best last season, probably because he wanted to go, but still showed what a good defender he can be in important games when he was motivated.

With that in mind, I've got no problem with him going, but I do think our negotiation on the fee is poor business.

As someone who is English, is proven in the Premier League and can cover both right back and centre half comfortably, I'd have expected at least £7.5-8m in the current climate.

I think we will struggle to replace him for £5.5m. It will be even more of a struggle given we will probably only spend a fraction of what we receive on a replacement. If we end up signing players of the standard of Townsend, we will be lucky to stay up.

Fair play to Watford, I think he will do really well there and they will have got him at a snip. Watched them a few times last season and thought they were a really decent side with a terrible central defence, so it will be a good move for him too as he will probably get 1st team football.

Just hope our scouting network has improved significantly in comparison to last summer if we are going to sell anyone worth a dime...

Things don’t change!

Filip Krovinović - Despite only wanting £600k for him, West Brom decide to insult and alienate themselves by initially offering £150k.

75% less than the asking price.

Norwich want him as well and so why make the other interested party more appealing and easier to work with.

The West Brom team really P me off at times.

That's where we are as a club.
Over the last 18 months we have not replaced any player leaving with a better player, our destiny is matched by our ambition.
Where is our tradition of picking up players for peanuts and selling them for profit. We have a new manager and the first thing we do is sell possibly our best defender. OK he wanted to go, but the "Bilic" influence may not be what we are hoping for.
The people running our club need replacing, they are just dragging us further down. I'm unsure how they believe they are doing an acceptable job, IMO they are just taking the money. Get rid of them while we are still solvent or the problems will multiply very quickly.
We really do need some positive signing to get us out of the doldrums.

Alan Hutton and Charlie Austin appear to be our main interest atm.
If that's the best Slav can do? - well I'm shell shocked.

Article about our interest in Krovinović:

Article also says Hutton is not an interest to the club.

Sorry but we don’t buy animals at our club so Hutton was ever in the frame, idle paper talk . As for Krovinovic would be more than happy useful player .

Think he's off to Forest on a free. Krovinovic is also being targeted by Norwich. Plenty of reasonable players about, but pre season begins next week and new season starts in 5 weeks. I would like to see Slav getting a couple of unknowns in to create some interest.

#wba planning an approach for Benfica midfielder Filip Krovinovic. Slaven Bilic wants Croatian 23-year-old to be one of his first signings https://t.co/dBAGnrz3I0

No interest in Hutton !!

Blue boy pre season started last week. Pre season matches start soon. Younger more exiting players being targeted.
