germany look a bit ropey at the back, and i'm not sure about gotze up front....but they don't half play some lovely passes about from the middle of the park.

That was a quality finish from schweinsteiger tae.

The German defence came under some pressure but there was not enough quality in the Ukraine attack to punish them. Up front they looked a bit lost, Goetze was poor and Muller didn't do much either. As you said most of their good stuff came from the middle.

Doesn't Rooney take corner a for manure? Why not have him on them?

RE: euro 2016 general chat - Statesideowl - 13-06-2016

So far no one has looked truly convincing in their opener. Germany's MF is solid and would eat Rooney for dinner. If we were to face them.

We can be safe in the knowledge, we won't Laugh

Yes Thurny Rooney has for Manure now that you mention it. Now stop suggesting sensible things, we're English and we will walk towards the machine gun fire.

I think so far we have looked as dominant as any other team in our first game. Obviously didn't get the result but the performance was good enough to have won. I think it's fair to say just about every game so far has been competitive with no clear winners, hopefully that stays the case.

There seems to be a general criticism that Hodgson sticks with the old boys when in reality he has given more players under 23 their debut than any England manager, he has the youngest squad at this tournament and has the second youngest squad ever put into a tournament by England.

Nothing is won or lost at this stage and winners are the teams that get the momentum from match three onwards. We might go on to find that winning formula or we might just fade away like we usually do.

Croatia look a very good side.

RE: euro 2016 general chat - hibeejim21 - 13-06-2016

I will go out on a limb and say i don't think France will win it.

RE: euro 2016 general chat - Fredstersafool - 13-06-2016

Agree Jim they are piss poor at the back.
