I honestly believe unless we get big earners off the wage bill we won't be getting any free's in. We must be really strapped for cash. Odd as in monetary terms we have only paid out approx £10 million.

I am still absolutely certain that a decent striker will arrive. { I still say Grant. } there could also be a couple of outgoing’s. I can’t get downbeat because we had a two year plan for promotion we did it in one, if the worse does happen and we are relegated we now have Saleable asset’s which we have not had in a while. Not that I think that we would sell straight away. We are well run without the huge bankroll of other clubs. We should be grateful there are lots of Big Name clubs who would swap places with us. Even during Covid we have managed to keep most staff and get promotion. I’m a happy Baggie.

I do admire your glass half full attitude.

I struggle to be positive mainly because I think we are a soft touch. The budget is disappointing, but a bigger disappointment is just that we haven't invested in players who wear the shirt with pride and fight.

I fear we could be the laughing stock and embarrassed by our rivals...

Of course, Bilic might stiffen us up by adding Ivanovic and moving Ajayi into midfield or even utilising Ivanovic as a sitting midfielder, a role that Chelsea fans suggested he would be good at. I do hope so. But he seems very stubborn on playing lots of luxury players in midfield with Livermore carrying all of them.

As for the striker, we have to get one in, so it will happen. The question is, will it be Grant or a cheaper model? Time will tell. Either way, we needed 2 really...

Desperately need a striker, still hoping to get Grant but I'd prefer King. Or both!!

On the plus side it's first half in the Poland game and Grosicki is captain and scored a hat trick.

That should put his value up by another £100k if Forest are still interested...

Makes you wonder why he's not good enough for us.

It does indeed. For me, I'd select him above Edwards every day of the week. And Phillips too bad on his form for the past 9-10 months.

There were 9 games post lockdown last season and Grosicki...

Started in 4 (won 2, drew 2) And one of those draws was Blackburn away, which was actually one of our best performances of the season first half. Ironically the great collapse was after he was subbed off.
Came on in 3 (won 1, drew 1, lost 1)
Wasn't involved in 2 (drew 1, lost 1)

In all 3 of the games we won, he scored or assisted.

So it really doesn't make sense why his he's always the first to be pulled off when things aren't going well or why he's drifted so far down the pecking order now.

IMO he's got something to offer at this level, where as Edwards doesn't. The fact he's dropped below Edwards and Harper one of my gripes with Bilic. I'm sure he'll be gone soon as there will be no shortage of suitors.

Clyne would be a massive gamble as he's not played for over a year since doing his ACL.

I read he was on trial with Palace a few weeks ago. The fact he hasn't signed might tell us something about his fitness. Only 30 though, so worth a trial.

I read earlier today that Danny Rose has been left out of Spurs Europa League squad, so unless he's been released just now, he wouldn't be available until Jan.
