RE: The Owls v QPR Match Thread SBC - peiowl - 12-08-2017 I thought Rhodes was useless as well today (not the only one mind). First half I never even noticed him. I agree with imre in Winnall being MOM, but disagree re: Bannan. His passing was awful at times. To be fair to Bannan, when you attempt as many passes as he does you are going to get some wrong. Most of our good moves involved Bannan today imo. RE: The Owls v QPR Match Thread SBC - peiowl - 12-08-2017 I may be seeing the glass half empty but I thought we were lucky to get a point today. Imo, QPR were the better side, especially in the first half. RE: The Owls v QPR Match Thread SBC - Imre varadi - 12-08-2017 I didnt see Bannan give away as many as he has in recent weeks ? Reach lost the ball more than anyone today and every second ball that fell to either hooper or jones was lost we lost the second ball although cc says we did well ? we did play better the second half but we also left ourselfs open to be cut to peices and a better team would have don it !! but why o why must we always start terrible and it had nothing to do with the injuries he could have brought on abdi instead of jones and pudil surprisingly filled in striaght away for loovens ? we gave them a goal start and against a team like this its always going to be an uphill battle at even getting level they time wasted and dived on the floor to great effect and the bird on the line was xxxx laughable aswell how the xxxx can we have women running the line ? sexist but a fact they cant drive and they dont know feffall about football its fact !! well the pigs have lost at least although they are showing that they have a team that wont lay down and roll over ! we are going to lose the derby game with cc incharge its 100% nailed on at this moment !! RE: The Owls v QPR Match Thread SBC - Owlkev71 - 12-08-2017 A point was a fair result in the end. First half was a bit of a shambles, we played too narrow in CC's beloved 442. After the 2 injuries the players looked lost for 5 mins as they didn't seem to know the formation that were playing. QPR kept it simple but at least there players seemed to know what they were doing and deserved the lead they had at the break. We changed to 433 at the beginning of the 2nd half and it paid dividends as Winnall finished well after poor QPR defending. Both teams had a chance to take the lead but poor finishing let them down. Westwood 6 Hunt 6 Lees 7 Loovens Pudil 4 Wallace 3 Hutch INJ Bannan 7 Reach 2 Hooper 6 Rhodes 6 Winnall 7 Jones 5 Fletcher NOT ENOUGH TIME, Should have been on earlier. CC 4 Predictable 442 to start with, at least he changed it to 433. There are problems down at Hillsborough, not just CC but some of the players. Can't see CC lasting if things stay as they are, formations, tactics, the Fernando situation, mid table obscurity looks on the cards. RE: The Owls v QPR Match Thread SBC - St Charles Owl - 12-08-2017 I thought in the end that a draw was probably the fair result, we were crap first half, not sure they were good, but I thought we were ok in the second half and aside from one very good chance they didn't create much. The injuries didn't help the game plan at the start but they weren't the reason we were crap either, those injuries meant CC couldn't change anything later in the game when we actually might have been able to sneak the win with us being on top. RE: The Owls v QPR Match Thread SBC - Jacko The Flopsy Piglet - 12-08-2017 Disgraceful. Only eighteenth after two games. We should be clear at the top with a hundred and twelvety goals by this stage! RE: The Owls v QPR Match Thread SBC - Was Wereham Owl - 12-08-2017 Just watched the highlights a couple of times and to be honest , we SHOULD have won that game 4 or 5 -1, we're missing too many easy chances given the standard of our forwards, but what happened to penalties , 1 certain for handball, one maybe could have been given for a foul, Bannan had another decent game, and as for Rhodes, I'm still undecided tbh, given the right players round him he's still a 20 goals a season striker , but will that be for SWFC .. maybe not unless we change our tactics ... I'm willing to give it 10 games then see where we are to be fair RE: The Owls v QPR Match Thread SBC - Imre varadi - 12-08-2017 That may happen next season when we are back in the pub league jackflopypop! going back to that ripp off ididdle why dont the club have there own tv channel like everyone else in the world has even poor shit clubs in mexico have there own tv channel where you pay to watch a game ?
