Imagine what some of us heavier blokes could do to a youngster in a tackle. Career over before it started like young Stringer in goal.

I agree SS. I ended up with a broken collar bone when I was put up against men at the age of 19. Give him a few run outs when the game is won or he will end up being injured all the time like his dad. It's a completely different game once you come out of the age restricted games and start against real men.

Wasn't it that dirty git, Steve Bould who initially injured Hirst?. Nasty tackle. Hair line fracture on the ankle, he carried on playing and scored a belter which finished the break.

He was never the same again I don't think
