I think this will be the statement on the 16th when we do not get Grant and end up just getting Gray on loan.

Fulham and Leeds have developed their squads since promotion, we have stood still and will be isolated at the bottom of the league by Christmas.....if I was Slavan I would walk away.
Sorry but your not Slavan . Look at it this way, he has got all the loan players he wanted Krovinovic, Diangana ,Robinson and Periera he also got Ivanovic and Gallagher. So why wouldn’t we wait to try and get his number one Striker target which I believe is Grant. He won’t walk he new the budget when he signed. That’s my opinion.

Slavan mut be ripe for being offered a new job, I'm sure many clubs will have seen he has got a club promoted and got a few good
players for little money. His managerial value must be at a premium. His agent must be busy counting his percentage.

Well Slav has said repeatedly that Krovinovic was his number 1 target and he was signed.

So in some ways, he has to take some blame for this mess given that we have about 5 players who can play the number 10 role, this wasn't a priority position.

But of course this blame is minimal in comparison to Dowling and Lai. Lai is just another penny pincher in it to milk the cash while Dowling knew the budgets from the start, so should've spent accordingly. Diangana was a fantastic signing and I was ecstatic when we signed him, but if this was all the budget we had he should've tried to negotiate another loan and then repositioned the rest of the money elsewhere.

I really can't believe we have so many attacking midfielders at the club yet only have 1 right back, no proper sitting midfielder who is good enough at this level, no proper number 9 who is good enough at this level. The balance of the squad is so heavily weighted on luxury players and these muppets didn't see it coming that we were going to be a soft touch.

Hi ya, your right Bilic has got his priority targets. I'm not sure Bilic expected a small tansfer budget in the PL? As he was always working on
a 2 year project our promotion may have come to soon. As for a striker remember he has already signed Austin - Zohore and Robinson.
We discussed our problem at length last year - the problem IMO is no enforcer. It was then and it is now, Grant is not the solution i'm afraid.
Ivanovic will help for sure. I'm surprised Bilic has not got an enforcer in, if nothing it would shut me up.

100% agree that the number 1 priority should've been a stopper in the middle of the park to sit next to Livermore. Someone who sits, protects and gives the flair players a platform to play.

As it is, we're a soft touch, nobody tackles in the middle of midfield. Teams just cut right through us. I'm absoutely sh*tting myself at what Villa will do to us with Grealish and Barkley. It will be shooting practice.

I think that position and a proper number 9 were imperative (Austin and Zohore nowhere near good enough). As it is, we've signed neither the stopper or striker and just a bunch of number 10s.

RE: 2020 Summer Transfer Window - 1st October - Stairs - 06-10-2020

10 more days to EFL window also shuts. 11 days until our next match v Burnley where we would hope to get at least a point, if there is any chance of surviving.

Let's hope we get our man / men before the deadline and give them a chance of getting on the pitch that day.

RE: 2020 Summer Transfer Window - EFL Extension 6th Oct - valpayne - 06-10-2020

What a shambles so are we resigned to only being allowed to sign more championship players and that’s it?

But we need more than 1 striker. We need full backs and a decent ball winner in midfielder as well but we all know that they will not be coming through the door.....but we have got Peltier Doh

RE: 2020 Summer Transfer Window - EFL Extension until 5pm 16th Oct - Slick_Footwork - 06-10-2020

If we were to get all the players we need from the Championship it will cost an arm and a leg.

In terms of stumping up the cash for Grant, I really can't see us doing it. This whole thing screams of us being completely skint and running a year in arrears with everything being loan to buy.

I think we will just end up with 1 of Deeney or Gray on loan. The former's legs have gone and another immobile lump like Austin and the latter can't play.

RE: 2020 Summer Transfer Window - EFL Extension until 5pm 16th Oct - Blue Baggie - 06-10-2020

Still an abundance of quality players available on free's we only need them for 12 months we can afford to pay then £100k per week if no transfer fee. Unless we have an internal transfer embargo in place I can't see why we haven't filled a few gaps.
