Other sources are saying Diallo is about to sign for Sheffield United for £13.5M+.

I have it on good authority that west brom are waiting until 22:59 to be able to sign a striker from Calais side Jungle. Apparently he`s a 49 yr old Congolese who trod on a landmine aged 6. The club have been advised he has a good right foot. Asking fee is £23M

Yes I am being very sarcastic.

Strange ....

West Brom winger Kamil Grosicki is poised to join Olympiacos before being loaned straight to Nottingham Forest from the Greek club. #WBA #NFFC #olympiakos #DeadlineDay

Same owner, must be something to do with working their way around around FFP?

Can't help think we missed loan chances for Ryan Sessegnon and Nathan Clyde - either IMO would have helped strengthen our defence.
Apparently we are getting £1.1 m for Grosicki so that's a £350k profit.
I would be tempted to bring in a defence guru - not a player but an organiser
I clever manager would recognise our issues and put actions in place to fix?
As a minimum when I was a kid you would play the bet strikers against your best defenders in practice games.
OVER and OVER again until things improve. Undertanding and organiation only comes with practice, a well drilled defence
doesn't happen by accident.
We need to give Bilic time, but we are looking for improvement.

Read that Chris Smalling is going to be training with the kids at Man United after his move to Italy fell through. Worth a punt on loan?

I realise we have a lot of central defenders but given every cross that comes into our box looks like it will result in a goal, at least he's about to head the ball. Would free up Ajayi (or even Ivanovic) to play defensive midfield.

I like that idea. Smalling and Ivanovic or Kiprè in the centre of the defence and Ajayi playing in front of them as the 6. That would free up Livermore to play further forward as an 8, like he did after Field came on, and Krovinovic playing as an 8.5 next to him.

Stumbling block could be wages.

We're stuffed, aren't we?

I do not know why we do not go for Josh King. His wages would be reasonably high but is in the last year of his contract and rumoured to be available for £10M.

Grosicki wants to stay at WBA and fight for his place,
He actually texted the express and star Laugh

A quote attributed to Kamil Grosicki in the Polish press suggests his move to Olympiakos/Nottingham Forest is off. Grosicki: "There was no concrete offer. What next? I'm staying in West Bromwich Albion for the moment and I'm fighting for a place in the squad. #wba
