"So, we want your best player who's valued at £25 million. We'll offer you £10 million and a player we don't want and don't think is good enough for us. However, we're sure he'll be great for your crappy club, so you should be grateful for what we'll deign to give you"
Hey, Arsenal, feck off!

QUOTED AS BEING THE 27TH RICHEST CLUB IN THE WORLD AND WE HAVE TO SELL EVANS TO GET PLAYERS IN - DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE.

CAN ANYONE ANSWER THIS?
AND BURKE WHERE IS HE? OR WHY ISN'T HE PLAYING OR IS 15M TO BE THROWN AWAY. Huh

its all down to financial fair play. From the way I understand it over a given period a club can only increase wage by 1.3x the period before. Meaning that the bigger clubs that spend a lot on wages can continue to spend. What it stops, is rapid growth.

what its meant is that we are the product of our own demise by being quite so frugal in the past that we have no room to manoeuvre in terms of wages :/

it looks like by FFP all it actually does is keeps clubs in their place rather than stopping the big boys from spending a fortune.

before anyone askes, the 3 promoted teams have 3 years before this kicks in and so can outspend the lower more established teams. Hence why we, Swansea and stoke are in trouble.

As for burke, I believe a mentioned this months ago. The only explanation I have is that we've signed a dud. Makes absolutely no sense when he's fit to play Livermore on the RW when Philips is injured (see the west ham game).

There also seems to be some talk of Yacob leaving. If this happens and we retain Livermore, I will seriously question Pardew's judgement. In my opinion, Claudio is streets ahead of Livermore- if anyone is to leave, it should be the latter.

RE: WBA Transfer Window - 25th January 2018 - Dingle-Dingle - 27-01-2018

West Brom boss Alan Pardew says clubs interested in Evans will get a "nicer" response if they get in touch at the weekend rather than making contact closer to transfer deadline day on Wednesday. (Telegraph)

Suspect nowt will be happening before 22.00hrs on 31st if at all.

Also doubt if Jonny Evans leaves so no dosh to buy.

Have to settle with what we’ve got and risk the drop.

Hey ho....

Confused
