Again, an argument without substance (old shit, read it before from the usual suspects!) and an insinuation, a false one, that is absolutey unqualified crap!! Sure, there are some extreme factions that are present up here but they are miniscule in the overall scheme of things in a Scottish culture that is multicultural and pluralist with strong roots that have been embedded here for a long, long time. My wife is English from Kent and she'd scoff at such an inaccurate and stupid, unqualified suggestion!!! We live here and we are qualified 100% to know the FACTS re our own country!! Utter garbage!! And BTW the Scottish Nationalism title should be amended to civic nationalism because that is what it is!!! If you lived up here, you'd realise that fact and why so many people vote for the SNP!!!!! Ohhhhhh! We'll change the subject re false insinuations in your last two threads and now talk about more future financial figures re Scotland and poss Scot indy that I'm not even gonna bother to dismantle TBF esp coming from a serial offender!! Of course there are challenges for Scotland as a nation and all Scots who support Scot Indy and the Scot Nats are well aware of that fact!!!!! That is why we are now moving to the debate that covers all the issues that are gonna be challenging Scotland as an independent nation and how to finally break up the Treaty of Union effectively once a consensus is reached!! Scotland is a small country and a rich one too with various independently studied economic analyses to back that up but, as said previously, it will be challenging, no doubt BUT IT CAN BE DONE AS HAS BEEN PROVED IN OTHER SIMILAR SIZED COUNTRIES THAT HAVE DONE IT SUCCESSFULLY!! Too wee, Too poor, Too stupid. Yeah, we've heard it a million times over the years. Westminster on the other hand is doing such a fantastic job. Have you seen the UK debt figures from the exchequer ? A lot of it is done by the EU giving companies grants or bank loans to move production to Europe That website is Pro Remain and wants to stop Brexit, so of course it will distort the facts. It's probably funded by Soros or some big multi-national company trying to push its agenda to stay in the EU. (05-02-2019, 00:22)0762 Wrote: Heyyyyyy!!! If you lived up here, you'd realise that fact and why so many people vote for the SNP!!!!! Scottish Nationalism is Anti English and Anti British and you've been very guilty of it yourself as well calling the English "B'stards", "Little Englanders", you have called us "Thick", "Racist" and "Xenophobic". You only have to look on social media with people saying they want to leave Westminister and smash the union up. You seem to think you are on some moral high ground and better than everybody else and you still don't understand why people voted Leave. Cadbury's was British till it was taken over by Kraft and the same goes for Rowntrees too till it was taken over by Nestle. It will cost you £450 million just to set up departments for an independent Scotland and that figure is for 5 years, if it takes any longer that figure will rise. Then if you join the EU you will need to find the £55 million a day not to mention you would have to build a hard border between England and Scotland and have border checks and control which will be even more money. Yes I have, just under £2 trillion and that was a certain Mr Osborne's fault for borrowing £500 billion when the Condems came to power in 2010. When Labour left office in 2010 the National debt was around £700-£800 billion and ever since the condems or the Tories have been in power the debt has gone up. They borrowed more money than any other Government in history. This is my last post on here. RE: European Union Referendum - In or Out?? - hibeejim21 - 05-02-2019 "You're being pedantic. You know full well that Peugeot is French, Ford is American and Texas instruments is American too. " I'm not being pedantic matt, I'm just genuinely struggling to see what your point is. You bemoan the lack of british owned and created industry and then go on to illustrate it with the loss of Peugeot and texas instruments. Globalisation has changed the world, its not for changing back. RE: European Union Referendum - In or Out?? - Devongone - 06-02-2019 Globalisation has changed the world. So did industrialisation. So did your smartphone. What happens when the oil runs out, or the seas roll in, WAR, or any of the other million things we can't even imagine in maybe your lifetime if not mine ..... ? If human beings survive I doubt communities will be global, or even interested in the other side of the Earth. They'll be peasants and your Peugeot will be handcart instead of just looking like one. RE: European Union Referendum - In or Out?? - 0762 - 06-02-2019 https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-47143135 A place in hell? Very well put by Donald Tusk esp when he is referring to Brexit scum/liars like Farage, Johnson, Gove, Fox etc who peddled their shit for long enough and we indeed found they had no plans at all for exiting the EU - a bunch of shit bags who never even had the temerity to provide proper info in a formal "white paper" - never even mentioned the Irish back stop either, a con, a shambles. What Tusk has done is given these c#### "ammunition" to deflect away from all the ongoing criticisms and they can focus on nasty old Donald Tusk!!! I've observed the same cheap RW technique deployed by these shameless bastards + supporting press in Scotland since 2014 and Trump and his RW cronies do it as well!! They never change but have been well sussed out up here in Scotland!! RE: European Union Referendum - In or Out?? - Devongone - 06-02-2019 Mate if you like Donald Tusk you might as well buy a pet wasp. He's just a Polish Tory. Even Michael Gove, who has a face like a beached Plaice, is better-looking. The EU send Tusk out early to foul the nest, so that anything that happens after La May arrives look like an improvement. He's coprophilia in almost human form, a shit golem .......... Isn't the real question is why is May deliberately going to get nothing? What is this play-acting that has been going on for two years really about? What is meant to happen next? "This chap started talking to me about this and that - about which I know very little." Why on earth you think your interests correlate with his on Europe is just weird. The real question is what do those from the left really expect from brexit? Portugal has shown socialism can function happily within the EU , but you would rather shrug your shoulders and let the ERG and Putin's pals xxxx everything up ? You can't name one benefit, other than shrug your shoulders and say " how much worse can it get" ? Answer : it can always get worse. RE: European Union Referendum - In or Out?? - 0762 - 06-02-2019 Spot on!! Deriding comments with very little substance and justification attached to them!! In fact, gibberish comes to mind!!! PLEASEEEEEEE!!! LETS RETURN TO COMMON SENSE AND STABILITY WHEN IT COMES TO BREXIT!!! If I could only go back in time and eradicate everything that happened in 2016 re this whole Brexit fiasco, I'd do it!! The whole thing is an absolute disgrace and I have never witnessed such a huge "threat" in my life time and it drags on n on n on n on........ it is so f###### infuriating esp when living in a sovereign country that voted against it and that opposition has increased overwhelmingly since 2016!!!
