I may be wrong but I thought this year was glory or bust for them. Promotion or sell Jack "Tom Daley" Grealish to balance the books. One major thing we have not considered or even given a 2nd thought - Did Guochuan Lai borrow the cash to buy the club in the first place? Hence the reason why he declines to financially to support the club? When Jenkins had to go to Barclay's for a loan in January the alarm bells starting ringing - no new manager - no signings in January - it all points to no cash flow. Peace and his efforts to sell to the correct person has proved to be the worst decision since the Bhatti' s got hold of the Dingles. You must have financial support from your owners to survive in the EFL Some say Sheff Utd got promotion without investment - absolute rubbish Kevin McCabe has invested £100 million Abdullah bin Musa'ad has given them £3 million as a gift this season, but has probably invested a lot more. £20 million on average is needed in the EFL just to tread water, so enless Lai opens his wallet we on our way down boys. Norwich have had a tremendous couple of seasons making £45 million on transfers whilst winning the league. They have done a Leicester - great achievement, but it's all over now. Time for Delia to sell up and maximise her investment now. It's called doing a Peace. Of course with their owners now in court battling over who now has control, it has emerged that the 10m investment the Saudi Prince gave them included 3m from the Bin Laden family!!!! That's not a headline you want to see about your club!!! More of a BS Media headline grabbing IMO - the Bin Laden Family is ranked as the 5th richest in Saudi so it's fair to say they have a few quid. If the Villa got money from a Saudi called Bin Laden you would be all over it just as we Owls are over this little revelation!!! Lets not let real facts get in the way of football banter!!! RE: WBA Playoffs Thread - 4evaabaggie - 19-05-2019 To true SCO, just like journalism, news and football banter don't rely on the truth, just impact ...... I mean was Ron Atkinson fat and round, did we kick him out the ground? RE: WBA Playoffs Thread - talkSAFT - 28-05-2019 Some of my best mates over the years are Villa fans, and I even half thought yesterday that I'm too old to hate a Club based on this grudge I've had since I was 8. Good luck to the Villa I thought, but I'll have a good laugh when they come crashing back down next May (or even Feb!) But last night - when I heard the result - I was sick all over my new shirt. Physically sick though I hadn't even had a drink or anything. Shit on the Villa, I say. Hope Prince William, Cameron, and Nigel Kennedy (not to mention some of my best mates) all get beat up by Bluenoses. RE: WBA Playoffs Thread - Dingle-Dingle - 28-05-2019 Lets just hope the EFL remembers the FFP breach when they do come back down. DD
RE: WBA Playoffs Thread - WBA-Josh - 28-05-2019 I don’t mind Villa going up. Yes it’s a little annoying that they did in a proper style after the bottle job in 2nd leg against us but it gets them out of our way next season. The fans will come back down to earth next season as well. I don’t think they’ll struggle like Fulham and Cardiff did but they won’t do a Wolves either. RE: WBA Playoffs Thread - 4evaabaggie - 28-05-2019 "We'll meet again, don't know where, don't know when, but I'm sure we'll meet again some sunny day" this is the crap I was met with at work by the one Villa fan there, he's been pretty quiet all year until their upturn during the run in. Typical vile fan, quiet as a mouse when their sh@@e, gobby as f@@k when they cheat there way to a bit of success. Here's hoping they manage three seasons in the premier league .. Autumn, Winter and Spring. Hoping they're on the end of a tennis score every week 6 - 0, 6 - 1, 6 - 0 |
