RE: World Cup 2018 - WBA-Josh - 24-06-2018

Colombia has finally arrived. Muy bueno equipo.

Poland are dreadful and made it too easy for Colombia but the Colombians still played very well and thoroughly deserved the win. Some of the football was sublime. Colombia vs Senegal and Japan vs Poland on Thursday. Colombia will beat Senegal and Japan should beat Poland.

We need to hope that England don’t get Colombia in the knockout.

32 matches played in the tournament now and I’ve watched every single one.

I might need to get out a bit more this week. Confused

Well Spanish is clearly not my strong suit. Whistle

I read last week that West Brom were linked in Argentine media (and readwestbrom.com picked it up) with Colombia’s number 5 Wilmar Barrios for £16 million. Seems extremely unlikely considering Tottenham have also been heavily linked with him for a couple of months now.

Anyway, I thought he looked good tonight. Very similar to Yacob in play style but looks more mobile and got up and down the pitch more against Japan whereas tonight he was more of an anchor man.

I don't think Jenkins will be sanctioning that amount of cash.
Was talking with a few old posters who had some kind words about your good self = on another message board.

I think the chances of Barrios joining us in 0% anyway but it’s good to see the club linked with someone of his obvious quality.

May I ask what message board that was? It’s been a couple of years since I last used another site so I’m intrigued to find out which it is.

The Colombia and Mexico fans have definitely been the stand outs for me. I think the commentator said there is 30,000 Colombians at the tournament which is incredible if true.

I watched a YouTube video of Mexico’s fans before they played Germany and they were signing and dancing and having a good time in Red Square.

Just watched the line up for the Uruguary/ Russia match and noticed yhe Uruguary team have 4 stars on their shirts. Had to google why. They won gold at the olympics in 1924 and 1928 and FIFA recognise these as being world champions. That`s todays lesson learned. DD Smartass Smartass

Uruguay 3-0 Russia and Saudi Arabia 2-1 Egypt.

Group A finishes as the following:

1. Uruguay
2. Russia
3. Saudia Arabia
4. Egypt

Uruguay will play the runners-up in Group B (probably Portugal) and Russia will play the winners of Group B (probably Spain).
