RE: Match Thread - Derby v SWFC - madsteve - 30-10-2016 A Good Performance, A Poor Result! CC went with the expected team with Palmer replacing Hunt. Fletcher was fit enough for the bench but Westwood & Loovens didn't make it. We dominated right from the start and had three good chances in the opening ten minutes, Lee's shot well saved by Carson's legs, Fessi missing from six yards and Keogh palming away a Reach shot on the line. Unfortunately the referee failed to see this, which would have given us a penalty and Keogh a red card. Strange that I saw it from over a hundred yards away. Young Padawan said that we would pay for these misses & sure enough, he was right when we didn't mark up at a corner & Christie had a free header to put Derby in front. We continued to dominate play with Palmer making several great runs down the right but we lacked that cutting edge in front of goal. Fessi & Hooper worked hard but Carson was outstanding in the Derby goal. The second half was more of the same with Wednesday dominating possession but missing the chances when they came. Palmer went closest when his 20 yard shot was deflected on to the post. Inevitably, Derby got a chance and took it when Pearce fired a loose ball home from 8 yards. Fletcher came & went pretty quickly with another head injury after CC gambled by putting him on for Pudil after an hour. Wallace & Nuhiu also added little when they came on. Couldn't help thinking that we could have scored four or five goals if we had our shooting boots on but instead it was another blank day. Dawson - 6 Palmer - 8 Lees - 7 Hutchinson - 8 Pudil - 5 Bannan - 7 Lee - 7 Jones - 6 Reach - 6 Fessi - 7 Hooper - 6 ........................... On the other, it was pleasing that we played such enterprising & entertaining football. RE: Match Thread - Derby v SWFC - Imre varadi - 30-10-2016 Remember Aston Villa ? well there back and 4pts behind us with a better big game manager who knows how to win playoff finals ![]() ![]() done my spying work and i can report that Ipswich are very much playing the same football Big mick installed or has installed to every club hes ever managed . so its big hoofs into the opositions box or set pieces and hope like hell that shit defending will take its toll because in the way of strikers they are about as lethal as ours at the moment ![]() ![]() ![]() I also had a look in at Fulham who where scaring the shit of me last night in my dreams ![]() ![]() ![]() RE: Match Thread - Derby v SWFC - Statesideowl - 30-10-2016 There's nothing strange about these Referee's at all, Madsteve. They're simply corrupt and have their own agenda. RE: Match Thread - Derby v SWFC - Was Wereham Owl - 30-10-2016 After watching the highlights I don't think a 3/4-2 win for us would have been unfair, Carson made more ( and more difficult saves than Dawson did) Dawson SHOULD NOT have been put in the position he was where he needed to save the goals Derby scored, and that's down to the one thing that I seem to think our defence need to work on ..CONCENTRATION, they seem to switch off sometimes ..not acceptable, but it happens, as an earlier post (and we ALL know this) we need to be more clinical .. if we were (and had been all season) we would be top 3 without a doubt , CC needs to work on these areas because to dominate as many game as we have , only to lose or draw IS down to hard work and management. I cant think of one game so far where we have been outplayed this season, bullied maybe , not had the luck (certainly), but never really battered ... all down to CC's selection and man management and team PSYCHOLOGY... needs to instill a winning mentality, plus as a nod to Stateside , I am coming to believe that the Premiership closed shop and referees have a definite agenda, get the teams in we want then do away with promotion whoever finishes top after that gets a chance of being voted into the prem ... can see it coming ..or am I paranoid lol RE: Match Thread - Derby v SWFC - peiowl - 30-10-2016 (29-10-2016, 21:00)Maddix Wrote: Derby manager Steve McClaren: Look and listen up, Maddix. Got your attention have I? No? Well, no matter. I'm not saying the no penalty decision wasn't a game changer. All I'm saying is it happened, we were still left with 11 men playing another 11 men like at the start of the game. These decisions are bad, granted, but the team still had another 80 mins or so to pull its socks up, get over it and win the game. Now, that makes sense, even you'll agree? No? Well, no matter. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() RE: Match Thread - Derby v SWFC - Maddix - 30-10-2016 I know that PEI but it was 12 v 11 and the players knew it from that moment. If you've ever played the game you will know that it is easy to work out the ref and sometimes for a player it can be disheartening knowing that whatever you do you are going to lose. Another stat which I find incredible is that Derby were only penalised for foul play 3 times during the match (one of these was past the 80 minute mark too) so it would have been pretty obvious to the players that the ref was a homer. RE: Match Thread - Derby v SWFC - Imre varadi - 30-10-2016 what like in Homer simpson ? or Homersexual ? RE: Match Thread - Derby v SWFC - Maddix - 30-10-2016 You choose ![]() RE: Match Thread - Derby v SWFC - Imre varadi - 30-10-2016 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fK4A3KXKJvI much rather have Nuhui on the bench because Hirst is to young and when we get a chance at heading in a goal Hirst doesnt cut it with Nuhui ![]() ![]() RE: Match Thread - Derby v SWFC - Statesideowl - 31-10-2016 Young Hirsty might well be ready for some first team action. However, his body isn't. He's as skinny as a pole and twice as thin. He'll get bounced more than the ball will. Imagine what some of us heavier blokes could do to a youngster in a tackle. Career over before it started like young Stringer in goal. |
